Sad news indeed… R.I.P Paul… You will be missed and not forgotten.
In his letter, Paul mentioned several times over he wished for a stronger family connection, but it wasn’t there. I think Squirrel shares some resentment, but I agree it is quite harsh to say. Angry or not, the most graceful thing we as a community can do right now is be supportive and forgiving. I feel deeply sad for Paul, his family, and his friends, and would never wish this situation on any person.
As we mourn together in Paul’s memory, let us also remember that his life was precious. Although he may have felt the world did not want him, he had an important and integral part in life, and impacted so many people around him. Everyone has a place and effect on the world, Paul being a shining standout.
In regards to his family, I personally pray that they will see this as a moment not only for sorrow, but also for reflection and bonding. I pray that as they go through this together, they can grow stronger as a family and work through some of the problems Paul alluded to. Death is a life-changing event in any family, even a disconnected one, and I hope that they may see this in a way that they bond closer together, rather than it resulting in a further deterioration in relationships.
Let us share this time together and be strong. This community is close, and tragedy deeply affects us all. Let’s always keep faith in one another and in the community as a whole.
Sleep well, Paul. I never met you personally, but maybe we’ll meet someday in the future.

What will happen to his account?
I personally think it would be really cool if somehow his Sniffy Conversation Series that he had planed could still happen in some form, but I’m not sure how that could really be possible since no one really knows how exactly he was planing to do them. If he had remained here long enough to complete those I bet they would have really been something special considering his commitment to putting out quality stuff.
I just heard and it is just so sad, news like this is always sad

Wow…all the help he has given to the community is incredible. I loved following him on twitter,and used his website almost every time I could before getting a new throw. I have had some incredible conversations with Paul and it comes to a complete shock to me. Rest In Peace Paul

This comes as quite a shock to me. A little research into the matter shows that suicide often comes as a surprise to everyone surrounding the individual. To know that someone out there was hurting so much on the inside, and felt so hopeless, pains me. I’ve been there before and wouldn’t wish it upon anyone. If only he could have opened up a little maybe we as a community could have provided the support he was searching for.
Unfortunately this is not the case. My condolences to those who were close to him. He will be well remembered I’m sure. RIP Paul

The world can be a tragic place but what you leave behind are the many smiles you have helped bring about with your music, your writing and of course every single interaction within the yoyo community. I hope you have found peace my friend. My heart weighs heavily tonight after hearing of your untimely passing. I miss you Paul. I’m a better man for having known you.
