Woah! Hold on! How am I trying to make companies look bad? I’m not bashing anyone! Unless calling a company “hyped” is considered bashing, but we all know that CLYW is indeed over hyped. As I’ve stated before, very few CLYW yoyos live up to their hype (maybe the yeti will, I dunno. And I won’t be getting one because of the spacers, I hate spacers).
You said only 2 of CLYW’s throws live up to the hype, the Cliff and the Puffin. LOLwhut? You must have only tried the Cliff and the Puffin. While these are nice throws, these are not the best CLYW has to offer. I understand that may be your preference, but it’s generally accepted the Chief is the best (and definitely lives up to the hype), and the Summit (which also lives up to the hype) is right up there with the Chief. The Sasquatch, Avalanche, Arctic Circle, etc all rank higher than the Cliff and Puffin in my book as well.
With that said, I don’t think CLYW is over-hyped one bit. They deserve every bit of hype they get.
Just throwing this out there. I have tried the following CLYW’s:
Chief
Avalanche
Wooly Marmot
Puffin
Cliff
Summit
Arctic Circle
Bear vs. Man
Out of all of those, the Marmot, Avalanche and the Chief were my favorites. None of them, however, I feel live up to the hype, except maybe the Marmot, ‘cause no one seems to like undersized yoyo’s anymore. I almost bought a Marmot at one time. People used to say that the Avalanche was amazing, and stuff like the best yoyo ever. I played it. It was good, but I didn’t feel it played better than any other companies’ yoyo’s (I almost got a “Fools Gold” one). The Chief is very good, but I personally don’t feel it lives up to the $150 price tag, or the massive amounts of hype it received. Again, it’s very good, but people make it out to be almost godly.
I do have to say, the Summit felt “Meh” to me (I’ve played two different ones). Same for the Cliff, which feels awkward in the hand, and doesn’t seem to like my style of play. The Puffin and Arctic Circle, I felt were good, but not for me.
So, there is my OPINION of CLYW’s, and I may be willing to trade for a Marmot, or Glacier Express (Looks like my type of throw), should anyone feel the need to make me own one.
Anyway, back to the subject on hand, I will probably get a Rally, and Maybe a Yeti if I can fine one secondhand. Unrelated, but I think I’m getting a Hitman X too.
This does not change the fact that you could not be more wrong when you say: “I haven’t heard anyone who likes how the peak plays. And CLYW wasn’t over hyped back then, if I remember correctly.”
I have no idea what’s up with you always saying that I know very little of things. I could care less about what you know. You always say that in wrong, that I don’t know what in doing, etc. it’s getting annoying. Grow up and get over the little childish grudge you have against me.
I don’t have any grudge against you, it’s just that when I see some of your posts they are either full of misinformation or they are declaring your love for YYJ.
Your post about the Peak was wrong, so I pointed out what was wrong with it so people aren’t swayed by your mindless post in which you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about.
Not even. They’re hunks of plastic attached to strings that entertain a lowly life form compared to the much more advanced organisms found far away in the universe.
You are dead wrong sir. They are low tech weapons that we will use to confuse and then destroy our oppressors during the inevitable robot/zombie uprising of 2014… $#!^, I have said too much. You saw nothing.
Can you guys just stop being so freaky? This is the kind of stuff that drives away new or future yoyoers. Why can’t you all just be more chill like the juggling community?
