That’s what happens when there are more people involved in one thing. So many different personalities. People argue/bicker everywhere. Yoyo forums are no different.
When it comes to skill toys, yoyoing has the most dramatic and whiny community. Everyone just sits there and argues about who is better, who said this and that, what yoyo is better, or what company is greater than another. Not to mention, that there is just too much “hype” when it comes to certain brands, companies, and players. All most of you do on here is yell at each other about stuff that doesn’t even matter, and it just soils the community for me. I mean it’s a simple question. Are you buying this yoyo or this yoyo? It didn’t need to become an ego contest. Also, these mysterious titles shouldn’t even be allowed. I still don’t know why there hasn’t been a rule regarding that kind of stuff.
Alright, even though I started this mess, I’m going to try and pull out of it. (No crude jokes please) While iyoyo58 may have differing opinions from us, that’s his right. I don’t agree with him a lot of the time, but I still respect him. I started debating with him because that’s the way I am, and I honestly enjoy debating about yoyos. I’ve learned a lot from various debates. I did not intend to humiliate him, regardless of if he may be misinformed. How about we all just move on from this before we seriously offend somebody. This forum is usually a nice place so let’s try to keep it that way… Thanks.
I’m sorry, but I have to make a semantics Nazi post here.
iYoyo58 said “I haven’t heard anyone who likes how the Peak plays.” Not “No one likes how the Peak plays,” “I (emphasis on the I) haven’t heard anyone who likes how the Peak plays.” That could very well be a true statement, however unlikely it seems.
Now, aside from that, I agree with Johnthejwolfe. “They. Are. Just. Toys”
Ok, on the Peak front iYoyo58 has a bit of. Point if you put it in context. It looks like he is talking about the play in comparison to today’s throws. If he is the I can see exactly where he is coming from. Even Chris would say he has made models that outplay the Peak in every way imaginable. It was great when it came out but the Peak is now more of a nostalgia throw than anything else. Still fun to play but not at the top of the yoyo design game anymore.
