I have four RBCs including a mystery black.
Maybe charge more for blood cells to make them worth your time to turn? Just ask high and make them only on request if you might be comfortable doing something like that. If for some reason I lost this one and really needed another, I’d rather personally give you 100-120 bucks and see you have the profit than buy one off the BST. If that would be worth your time.
I haven’t played a Knack or a Button. I know you swear by how much you like those two designs, but the blood cell brain rot set in the moment I played an RBC and I knew I needed a fixed axle version. I’m just not a big fan of bearing responsives. I don’t know how popular of an opinion disliking bearing responsives is, but yeah, they’re not for me. There’s really nothing else like the blood cell that I know of. It’s has the hand comfort of an imperial combined with the playability of a butterfly, and it even has a dimple for pull starts. It’s everything I’d want from a fixie rolled into one.
I too prefer fixed-axle over bearing responsives.
I also like the Bloodcell a lot. My hands tend to take a beating from rim edges, particularly with responsive play.
Alright. I’ll make Bloodcells at $100 shipped.
That’s fair, paid 90 for mine. It’s worth it guys!
More popular than you might think. Kyle Nations doesn’t really like bearing responsives either.
If anyone wants to be added onto the list for a Bloodcell, send me a PM.
Why must I be poor right now
You have s Bloodcell, good sir.
I’m gonna want 2 somewhere down the line. The maples look too good
Pm‘d
Gorgeous
We’re going to have to call the 2023 Spinworthies the “Under Duress” series
I didn’t make this, but I was smart enough to buy it the moment I saw it at the Indiana State Contest! It’s a bearing design.
Have you had the chance to test this response system out yet? Wondering how this compares to the 4 & 6 hole response setups.
I press fit an axle into the ash one I made to try it out before gluing. I haven’t sanded it, so it’s hard to tell for sure yet, but it seems as good as those other methods in terms of consistent response that still allows for decent sleep time. We’ll see if it feels smoother or rougher than the circular holes once I sand it.
I’d also like to try a modified version where the holes get shallower as they get further away from the axle - the goal being to get the most response as close to the axle as possible
Do you think the schmoove actually as any effect with locking into stalls? I’ve still been so curious about that design element on fixies since the dehcade had it.
I’m definitely intrigued. Looks great so far.
