My name is Count Cornelius Huckabee. I am the 4th removed step cousin of Sebastian Creamcornigan.
While galavanting the Galaxy for the Best Bacon Double Cheeseburger, my Commander noticed a Yo-yo being used as a Doorstop on a Magnetic Propulsion Hovercraft, idling in front of a Mini-Market. We procured the skill toy using a Tractor beam. It replaced my Pet Rock as my favorite toy. Sadly the yo-yo had no string, so for the next several Time units, I just did snap starts to finger spins and palm grinds.
After being fatally injured while filming a Jumprope video, I was Cryogenically frozen for 3700 years, until the body parts I needed could be invented. Immediately after being thawed out, I jumped up and ran right past a whole tray full of Cheeseburgers to buy a yo-yo from a Taco truck that was running a five and dime.
I Find that if I throw yo-yos at least an hour a day, it helps me keep my promise to myself to Never kill again.
I’ve been searching the entire Universe for a Home for the Criminally Insane. And although I have yet to find the perfect place, this Forum is the closest so far.
My nickname is Mo and I dream of some day, getting a beater yo-yo and modding it somehow.
Besides yo-yos, I collect vintage Classic Coke Carbonated bubbles. I suspend them in a Plasma based mist, inverted within a Vacuum Chamber.
I’m Tyler, took a break for about 4 months while dealing with some issues - but prior to that was really active in the community.
I’ve been throwing about 5 years now, absolutely love it - and alway ALWAYS happy to help anyone with anything. Tricks, maintenance questions, just life in general!
Hi, I’m Tony. I’ve recently gotten back into playing with yoyos. I’ve been enjoying reading everything here and seeing just how many yoyos are out there, the showoff your collection post is awesome. I was huge into it back in the late 90s after we had a couple of guys put on a show at my school. I remember my Yomega Fireball being my pride and joy back then. I stuck with it for a couple years and then moved on to other hobbies. About a year ago I ordered a Leshare x2 black pearl off Amazon on a whim. I played with it a bit and then shelfed it and forgot about it. I picked it up again about a week ago and managed to do a couple basic things and now the bug has got me again. Over the course of the last week I’ve ordered a Duncan Echo, a Duncan Roadrunner (this one is my favorite currently, super comfortable in my hand), a C3 Action, a C3 Speedaholic responsive, a YYF Atom Smasher and a Jigun Hanabi. I also just placed another order this morning for a string sampler pack and a C3 Speedaholic MN that caught my eye. I’m still waiting for everything but the Duncans to arrive. I figured I should get a spread of shapes, sizes and materials to try out and see what I like. Anyway that’s my story at the moment, just decided I should join instead of lurking lol
@slestak75 Hahahaha - probably the only trick I’m consistent at. I had a VENDETTA against it when I was learning and spent about a month only practicing that
Hi!!! I m Davide from italy, i m 38 and started yoyoing 1 month ago…i feel in love when i play with a yoyo and i go in an other universe…so i bought a plastic one and started learning with skill addict app. Now i m playing with 2 metal yoyo, the new horizon and the shutter…i feel better with the first one. See ya
Is there someone in italy here?i think yoyoing is not so common here…do u know any event or something else?
I m playing every day 1 or 2 hours…how long have i to practice to trick with my yoyo properly?
My name is Jason, and I threw Yomega Fireballs a lot as a kid, but then didn’t pick up a yoyo for many decades. A childhood friend gifted me a Fireball out of nostalgia, and I had a lot of fun showing my kids the tricks I could remember (they were really impressed by UFO and time warp). It got me thinking that yoyo technology must have improved, so I started researching, and learned that there’s a whole new style of play with unresponsive yoyos. So, of course I went overboard and bought like 2 dozen cheap throws for my kids and I to all play with and learn with. That was about 3 months ago, and I’m loving learning modern unresponsive tricks, but probably spend an equal amount of time working on modern responsive / 0A stuff.
Found myself here through a link to Fixed Axle February, which I think is super cool. I’m still trying to clean up my trap stall to brother stall repeater. I also do a lot of 3D printing, and am working on printing some FA throws to use for the remainder of the month.
Here’s a few of the modern throws I’ve picked up recently. I also have quite a few loopers that aren’s shown here.
Hello! You can call me Jazzy if you’d like. I’m 19 and I’m the daughter of one of your other members, Slestak75. I’m very new to yo-yos, but I’m trying to get back into my old hobbies and start new ones. With my little experience in the hobby, my top yo-yos are my Red Blood Cell and my Throwback Match.
I am recovering from a recent lung collapse and have been resting a lot, so I figured if there be any time to learn yo-yos, it’d be now (plus my dad has been encouraging me to learn for a while). Since I have plenty of time on my hands focusing on recovery. Thank you all for your warm welcome thus far!
