Welcome to the forums. There are plenty of helpful people here. Please feel free to ask for help or advice. There are also quite a few tutorials floating around. A good place to start if your skills are meager is the learn tab from the drop-down menu at the upper left of the main forum page. Also there’s the Trick a Week thread for some more adventurous tricks.
Ill be sure to check that out thanks.
Welcome! I’m pretty new here as well. Keep throwing!
Thank you for your service. And keep throwing.
I reckon this is the true introduce yourself post now…
I’m Hooty, glad to be here looking to buy some yo yos on the forum. Still relatively new to throwing. Maybe I’ll learn a thing or two while I’m here.
Also should say and put in my bio that I was a CNC programmer and CAM designer, although I’ve moved onto repairing and installing machines. I have connections with shops that could make yo yos if people were interested in making them.
Welcome a-board, Hooty! I used to operate CNCs years ago, I miss being around them. Being able to cut one or a few throws will definitely peak a lot of users interests. Glad to have you here!
Hey! I’m Quinn. I’m a transplant from the balisong community after my wife got me into throwing. Never been into yoyos before, so I’m starting fresh and making use of the down time when I’m not flipping
Welcome and hopefully you’ll find much joy in yo-yo.
I suppose ill introduce myself here! My nickname is bony or otherwise blaze on the internet(this is to not confuse people with my hungarien name).
Ive been yoyoing since uh, 1-3 years? i forgot, but uhm i am pretty good at it currently!
Im from romania, and because of that i could lay my hands on some budgety yoyos, tho i did get a shutter yoyo for 60 dollars for an early birthday present!
I also have a yoyofactory yoyo which is called “one” which i use for responsive tricks, and also an arrow yoyo for unresponsive tricks!(too bad the bearing it had broke since there aint much yoyo shops to buy cleaning supplies to fix it with )
Well annywho, i wish to learn a bunch from these forums and get better at yoyoing!
Also for annywho who wants to know im in my teen years
Welcome to the forums. It must be difficult to live in a place where international shipping is the only way to enjoy your hobby. If there’s anything that can be done to help, don’t be afraid to ask.
Hey y’all, Brain here, figured I’d properly introduce myself.
I started throwing back in the late 90s yoyo boom but stopped after a couple years. Picked up a yoyo a few months ago and have been hooked. I almost exclusively throw responsive so I like old school string tricks, modern responsive and fixed axle, and I’ve dabbled in some 5a too.
I am a musician, engineer, and artist so I am looking forward to doing some painting and modding as well.
This community is so helpful and supportive, lots of inspirational folks doing cool stuff on the regular. It’s cool to be a part of and I’m glad to be here
welcome back to the fold!
Hello!
My name is Stefano, from Italy. I used to throw when i was younger (i still have my LynFury and my Hitman). After almost two decades, i rediscovered this passion about a year ago.
I’ve been lurking the forum for some time and now i decided to introduce myself.
Here’s a bonus photo of the yoyos that give me the most satisfaction while throwing.
…yes, i like undersized yoyos
Ciao Stefano, benvenuto sul forum!
Sono italiano anche io ma vivo a Londra!
Welcome here and have fun, things are really evolved from long time ago so you will have fun rediscovering the hobby
I also like undersized yo-yos. Welcome to the forum.
Undersized is my absolute favorite!
If you don’t mind, what model is that yo-yo with the red string?
It is Dink by Jake Bullock
Hello! Been lurking for about a month now so I thought I would introduce myself. My names Peter and I’m a long time thrower since I was a kid but have recently been getting back into the hobby after about a 10 year or so hiatus. Been mass collecting again and buying all new yoyos, trying to adapt and learn what the new hotness is in the yoyo world at this point. I’m really into tech and becoming a better player so if anyone would like to share resources or Discords I’m all open to it!
I’m also from the Las Vegas area but also travel to SoCal frequently so if anyone locally wants to meet up and throw sometime to exchange tricks/elements/ideas shoot me a DM!
