welcome (back), great to hear another origin story!
It really does amaze me the similarities in stories here. Welcome to the madness.
Welcome
Welcome back!
Hi all.
Name is Steve. Bet you didn’t guess that.
I played during the golden age of mcdonalds x brains. Came back a yearish or so ago. Got a new job that I sit in an office a lot more so i figured id make some online accounts.
When i got back into the game i was trying all of the stuff the yoyo creators push. Turns out I like the high end stuff a little more. I bought an FOV case and looking forward to showing it off once i get a few more gems.
Currently working on superman so clearly not the best thrower but I don’t want it to be a chore to learn tricks, its more of a meditation for me, or escape.
Welcome to the forum. Look forward to seeing that case. Sounds like you have a good attitude towards it all. Make sure it stays fun!!
hello friends! newbie here, glad to meet everyone
Hello, and welcome to the forum.
Hey all! I just joined the forums today, but I’ve been lurking for about 6 years (Haha). I picked up yo-yoing in 2014 when my brother got into it. He gave me a “Velocity”, and I’ve been hooked since! (Unfortunately, my Velocity broke years back) since then I’ve gotten a Yeti, an FH1 (of which my little brother broke), and a Genesis. I’ve enjoyed learning new tricks, and getting to know members of the community; I hope I can get to know all of you, and learn about your story’s. Best wishes! - Snoopy.
an old pic from back in the day (the pgm was awesome)
helloooooo, i’m another guy in his early 30s who used to be really into yo-yos for a short while in late high school and am now getting back into it with a little more pocket change. the faye webster invitational got me really hyped! i knew parts of and whut and white buddha back in the day so i started by relearning those… now i’m working on getting rancid milk smooth because i wanna pass the milk check
bouldering is one of my other hobbies and linking a trick element by element slowly together is very similar to projecting a climb!
here are some old yoyos i unearthed. the lyn fury was one of my faves! the one in my hand is an fhz that i shoddily modded to be silicone recessed
Hi all!
I am fairly new to the community here and quite the shy reserved person so I thought to introduce myself a little haha…
My name is Will (or Nami as a nickname) and I am 22 and studying at university. I have been throwing for around a year and a half now. My journey started when I started watching Brandon Vu’s shorts on YouTube which led me to Evan Nagao and got hooked from his 2022 nationals freestyle.
Ever since then, I have been just throwing for fun and to unwind with simple basic tricks but I have been trying to land more complex tricks. In addition to that, I have found a love for yoyo designing and developed a few prototypes for myself :), hopefully, one day I would like to start a company with a good run of throws to offer! (Feel free to talk to me about designing or existing throws I love to learn and give my take on things!)
Lately, I have been tunnel-visioned into learning 3A, I am not the best at it or particularly good but it’s rewarding to try something challenging and to improve my untangling skills.
I’m looking forward to meeting new people and would love to make new friendships so feel free to swing by and have a chat!!
Here is a short video of my 3A progress as I felt like I should try and be more extroverted (Though I still feel uncomfortable with showing my face hopefully I can one day gain the courage ) I’ll just leave it at that, I don’t want to make this too long but it’s a pleasure to meet you all!!! Yooo welcome!!! I love 3A!!! Feel free to ask me any questions or make a post with 3A in the title if you get stuck on something and the few of us here that love 3a will do our best to help!!
Welcome to the forum and don’t worry about your shy nature. Social interaction can be exhausting for some, and still others can even experience physical discomfort when stressed, so don’t let it weigh on you. You do whatever you are comfortable with and no one is going to judge you. Enjoy yourself.
Hello! I’m Flerm. Aside from various attempts here and there in my childhood, I have no yoyo experience. I’ve started using the ■■■■■■■■■■ app, and I’ve at least gained an understanding of some of the terminology. I got a fireball to start and just got a Magicyoyo N11 and K2 (my current fave). I did just change out the bearing to make the N11 unresponsive, and now I need to learn binds! I’m in the OKC area and looking for people who would be willing to help me out!
Hello, I’m still pretty new with only a month or so of experience. My interest started with Terraria so naturally my favorite yoyo is my OD Kraken in in-game blue.
I’ve been blasting through the tricks in the Skill Addicts app and am currently polishing up my buddah’s revenge and matrix.
Thanks for having me!
Welcome!
hey, great to have ya! welcome
Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you are off to a great start.
Good afternoon, Tim 36, got my first yoyo in 2000 in a happy meal(firestorm) and never thought about it again but come 2010 i was in Afghanistan and i bought a yomega Maverick and a Dash and they got me through my down time. And more recently Gentry Stein and Brandon Vu peaked my interest and im getting back into the throw. Been using a Shutter i bought in 2022 and im ready to actually learn some things. Hope to make some friends.
welcome to both the forums and the hobby!
