you need two for 3A tho…
Not insane at all.
Shinobu uses precision micro machinery and his decades of Masterful building techniques to construct the Nostalgia yo-yos individually.
The guy Makes Samurai Swords and builds race cars and makes up a lot of his own parts.
His work is meticulous, precise, exacting and on a level seldom found in or out of the yoyo community.
The tiny spokes on the Nostalgia can actually be tuned precisely for runout(parallel edge alignment) and concentricity(out of roundness) so that the yoyo can be perpetually adjusted for zero vibe…
Considering people will pay $11,000,000 for a painting of a Flower that will just hang on a wall. Paying 5 grand to a Genius that is the only one that does such a yoyo is a Pure Bargain.
Not insane like it isn’t worth it lol. Just a ton of money. I need to see a photo of this thing
Here ya go> Prepare to be Amazed
This link is a slight description of the man himself/Shinobu. Half way down the article, it says Shinobu ‘took the crown’ from Mo Chavez who held it for a few years…
Well, since I am Mo, I will slightly correct that>
Shinobu didn’t ‘take’ the World Modding crown from me.
I was just holding on to the Modding title for 3 years until He ‘showed up’ lol…
Trust me on this> I know a little bit about Customizing yoyos. So I know just how amazing Shinobus’ Mad Skills are.
This is definitely neat… But it’s not for me haha. Looks like it’s just made to sit in a display case. It’s very, very interesting… That’s for sure. I personally wouldn’t even spend 1k on this…not because it’s not worth the money cause the work it took to create is evident… Just seems like more of a novelty. Anywhere you can find someone throwing one of these?
I could say everything you just said…. About the yoyo you bought.
And you need 2!
Last I heard it’s still for sale with a year waiting list, 5K I believe.
Not really… They are two completely different yoyos like look at them. Nostalgia has a bunch of holes so it can’t feel that smooth for grinds. It has spokes so no finger spins or anything like that. The walls/gap, etc. Couldn’t see this one as a comp yoyo. I’m sure you could throw it around and have a lil fun though. The yoyo I bought is a comp yoyo and looks like a comp oriented yoyo or any other yoyo at that matter. Nostalgia literally looks expensive and like it goes in a case. Mine looks like a $300-$400 titanium yoyo
I only do 1a not interested in the other styles
Boy, have you missed the point of that yoyo.
What am I missing? Fill me in. Isn’t this yoyo a work of art more than anything else
Unboxing video?
Yuppppppppppp
Let’s goooooooooooooo!!!
This is the apogee?
