I just bought a $1000 yoyo

Been working all day and haven’t been able to unbox it yet. :sob::sob::sob::sob:

I seen that

Yea dude, I totally agree with this. Ive played some great yoyos in the $50-100 range, but most of them don’t even compare to those that I have in the $200+ range, or even the $120+ tbh. I prefer monometals to bi-metals, so most of my favorite throws are Ti (or wood, but that’s another conversation).

That said, I have my limits, and even drunk/tired after work me refused to consider the astronomical prices of the Anglams. I think I tap out at about the $500 mark; anything more just gets a bit ridiculous.

I just want to unbox it :sob::sob::sob:. Hopefully I will get to it today. Have had a lot going on and new flooring is currently being put into my office right now.

Well, look at All the air time Christopher is squeezing out of that $thousand bucks.

We. were All ‘floored’ when he spent a grand for a yoyo.

Now… he can’t yet show it to us because he is getting ‘floored’.

Doh!:scream_cat:

I was going to unbox it in the kitchen but since my office has been down I couldn’t even edit it so I decided to wait… Not opening this box has not been easy

I have been thinking about this yo-yo since you shared this.

I’m not going to deny the workmanship of the Nostalgia. I keep coming back to this.

Is the Nostalgia the yo-yo world’s Spruce Goose?

It is a marvel, but how do you tune out the vibe, did he make a stand that allows you to identify the wobble like a bicycle wheel?

You are not going to lip grind it, and how would it even feel to grind it with all those tuning points.

Just my observation

No way of telling if it’s vibe free anyway.

Lol I played 3 of them now. Kyle Weems owns the smoothest one. It’s glass. The others were good, but his was so smooth.

How can you tell when the halves are Swiss cheese?

The outer edge is a flat smooth surface, should be easy enough. That’s the best place to test for vibe anyway, just fingernail test in the gap isn’t as reliable.

but when they match, ooooh that’s nice… but after the first time, i never check it again… unless i hit it on something.
