How many yo-yos for travel?

I have trouble actively using more than 3 during trips, usually defaulting to one or two.

I basically always travel with a Butterfly +1, where +1 has been an FH1, a BoltXP, or a looping pair.

When I’m traveling it’s usually with the kids, so I don’t have a ton of time for throwing, but I also use it as an excuse to focus on a small set of throws.

That said, if I was going to be alone in a hotel room a lot, I’d probably bring a few more throws to entertain me

Personally, I love every style and every throw, but for travel I’d only bring my 1 or 2 travel yyt 5 styles cases.

Just realized I’m getting on a plane again 10th year in a row for work travel on 9/11… stay safe out there and never forget .

I always carry my least favorite with me, just in case I lose it I wont really care (as much), but I usually bring 5 for travel: 3 for more showy tricks in public, 1 for basic practice, and 1 of my favorites just in case.

My average is probably 8-12 throws lol. Unless its a super short vacay, I fill up my 8 slot yyf sling bag, maybe throw some plastics in the zipper pouch, and bring a duo case as well. I like having options. :stuck_out_tongue:

I tend to bring 4 — my little case has 3 slots, and I use what I think is a lube holder a heist holder. Most of the time, though, I only wind up using 1-2 of them. I just figure since I’m bringing the case anyway I may as well use the space.

If it’s more like an overnight, though, I just bring whatever 1 is in my fanny pack at the time.

Usually 4. FH1 no matter what, 1 beater mono, 1 other plastic, and maybe something a little nicer depending on where I’m going and if I know I’ll have safe spots to throw it at lol

Agreed with the plastic. It’s not fun when your throwing your titanium yoyo and a kid comes out from who knows where and your stuck frantically explaining yourself to a crowd while the kid is pointing at you screaming and now your stuck with a face of guilt for the rest of the day.

When I go places I think there might be kids I sometimes throw either a looper or some beater responsive in my bag with a shorter string.

Yea, I’d probably use a shorter string if I was going for a certain vibe with the actual yoyo.

Well I brought a few more yoyo than I said I would…

Didn’t realize I shoved a few in my edc pouch and toiletries bag and work bag along with the ones in my suitcase.

I only ever bring one, a Luftverk Evora. It’s my beater Ti that I bring when I travel internationally. I like to see how many countries I can ‘spark’ it in.

So far:
USA
Spain
Belgium
Sweden
Canada
Netherlands

Thanks for sharing! I love seeing beat up yoyos and I’ve always wanted to try and Evora too.

day to day i bring my THOReST (nine times out of ten). if i was going away for a few days or a week i would bring one performance-y yoyo (THOReST, mag, gh2) and something fun (asora probably), a couple extra strings and an extra bearing.

Well I had actually misplaced this one for an entire year so I ended buying another one before I found my old one again, so I might be putting the newer one up for sale.
