Wow, that is a gorgeous yoyo @Exmime
This Friday I’m going eHxotic, 55g Wenge and YYE Type 10 100% Cotton
BEAUTIFUL!
@Glenacius_K SpinWorthy PC Knick-Knack after a nice morning rain.
Happy Friday my fixie brethren! Its a vinyl and throw evening for me. Throwing this amazing oak TMBR Sullivan that @IrJosh was so gracious to bestow me with. My first "old school " TMBR and boy does this thing have some heft! Equally good at hitting 1a as well as 0a tricks I think I’m in love lol
Always loved the look of the exotic wood eHs, I’ll have to hunt one down at some point.
I like the under chopstick mount
Been playing with one of @RC_yo-yo yoyos and it is a fantastic little slimline.
Ive been struggling with dump-trucks after trying to learn them (thought it would be simple), and something just clicked with me yesterday while noodling around with this yoyo and I got them down. Maybe I just needed a narrower yoyo to get the feel?
It may also be weight. I can’t hot a dump truck reliably on anything over 60g, which sucks because I love my dense fixies.
I don’t have anything truly massive, but I just tried on my heaviest (TMBR Irving purpleheart) and was able to nail it. Having a tougher time on my Caveman Go, but everything is harder on that one. Though in general ive always preferred and purchased my fixies on the lighter side, and if I wanted heavier just used aluminum/Ti.
I need to get at least one ‘dense fixie’. A purpleheart Ballsy or KNack sounds like the type of stuff I don’t get, but I want one. Now that I can Spirit Bomb I want to do so on a fixie, and mine are all too light.
I asked for my Ballsy to be purpleheart, but Glen wasn’t having it . The purpleheart Harbinger is about 70g though and I CANNOT dum that truck. May just need more finesse on my end. I am heavy handed and indelicate.
At the time I didn’t have thick purpleheart stock. I do now, but I have too many other things I’m trying to accomplish. I need to make a run of Buttons and prototype a signature and collaboration yoyo.
Thanks. I’ve been playing a bit with different 1A Chopsticks, decided to see what I could do fixed. I think 2022 will see me explore a lot more of what can I do with one fixed axle yoyo
You obviously made the right call on that. The oak Ballsy is perfection. Would have been like almost 80g!
Would have been at least 90g.
Well now I need one.
Finally started landing stalls with some regularity… was hanging out with my daughters at the park and couldn’t resist trying to get something on video.
Way to go man!!
