Fixed Axle Friday Throws

Special one today, one of my friends/coworkers got me a yoyo with my boss on it. Has a wood axle and actually plays really well!

did you make it to yoyo club today?

Not today. My job is crazy; it’s hard to do anything on weekdays. Next year, things should slow down, so I’m going to be asking for Friday nights off.

Up at Ski Purgatory and not in an office. Gotta throw a No Jive Purgatory 1 Light.

Since I got it, it’s kind of been the only fixed axle I throw. I feel sorry for my other woods.

I’ve helped people with these kinds of problems before. :yum:

Honestly, it really is. I much prefer the Spectra to the ash eh that I have. Would love to try and oak 20ehteen.

Even through I’ve been playing some SpectraPly this week, today is another big dump at Ski Purgatory so I have to play some Tom Kuhn No Jive Purgatory 1 Light

Asking best wooden yoyo? Currently for 2020 it has to be the TMBR SpectraPly eHs. The eHKNOWN variant is hard to beat.

I almost wish I had a second blue/black eH Spectra so I could un-half-swap them.

That would be sweet, another variant.

With Fixed Axle February approaching in a few weeks it’s nice to see some fresh wood on the top of the YYE New Releases page. I’m a big TMBR fan, today I’m playing my Irving 2019 in maple. Simple, consistent and its slimline profile feels great in the hand and is easy in the pocket.
