70’s vibe. Had forgotten how thin the string was. Thanks man.

Agreed! Still gotta get me a yellow one. And maybe a black to go with it…

Edit: Black striped one on the way now! I think yellow, white, green and blue are the only colors left. Dangit. May as well… Love these things! And easy to find for fair prices still. Just watch out for the later, Chinese knock offs. Other than the colors and stamping, they’re nothing alike.

Just found the Elfverson website! Supposedly they still turn around 20,000 yo yos a year. They just don’t hardly export them… They call it the Kalmartrissan. It did say on the site that a customer in the US orders small quantities. I wonder. A brand new Elfverson. They seem to mostly make fancy bottlecaps these days.

That’s the nicest one I’ve seen! I realized I’ll need a natural colored one as well… So far the red ones have been my favorite. I read that they widened the string gap in 99, so I’ll have to find a later model to see.

I dont know anithing about it, unless it’s from B!ST and it’s fullmetal with a hole

Oh wow that’s cool! So is it all one piece of aluminum?

The wood on that is just plain gorgeous.

My favorite guitars came from Sweden too. The Goya/Levin. The wood they used is rumored to be sourced from the same place they got the wood to build the Stadivarius. Nick Drake played one. I’ve had a few, and every one has been magic.

I think those are the same yo-yo as the Bunny Martin yo-yos from back in the day.

Yup !

Surely a pain in the *** to machine

Ettore, the guy behind B!ST, is a master of complex machining !

Hadn’t seen the Bunny yo yos in that color. I had seen the black ones. I guess that’s another Elfverson I’ll have to get around to buying… They also did the Canada Games Pro/Olympic models, Festival Big Zapper, The Linda Sengpiel signature: Supersonic Yo Yo, Parker Bros, Irwin and some Cheerios and maybe Royal?

Just pulled the trigger on this later model one I’ve been eyeing with the website on it. Maybe not as pretty as your guys’ examples. But that gap does look a tad wider. Excited to see how it plays!
