I wish I got an XL, but they were sold out. I’ve never gotten the regular Wood-z to return the way I want. Currently it’s double wrapped, which works ok for loops and stalls, but doesn’t sleep well. I’ve got a butterfly, Gates and Gnomad on the counter next to it so it just doesn’t get used much these days, but like the shape and would love to get it to play better.

Wood z is still one of my favorite fixies. I think it’s so underrated.

I usually have to do about 30-60 minutes of just throwing sidewinders with fresh kotn strings. It starts out impossibly slippy but once you get the string good and broken in, it plays like a dream. I also like to apply a tiny bit of beeswax based chap stick sometimes.
Oh! And crank the tension WAYYY up to begin with.

Happy Fixed Axle Friday. What goes good with grilling in October? Knocked a revolver out of a bad guy’s hand with this Hummingbird. It had with a 9-foot string. The incident occurred as part of an Old West show and the axle has never been the same. Typical New Mexico storyline mysterious rider comes into a lawless town with a Yo-Yo in his holster.

Was able to pick up this unengraved 2012 eH from @AaronW and it is always fun to compare the subtle differences between models. This 2012 is just slightly bigger at 57mm x 34mm compared to my 2013 eH that measures in at 55.5mm x 33mm. Just another reason to collect them all

Tightening up my Butterfly chops with a 2022 mold Pink Duncan Butterfly (AWHHY). Tomorrow I’m doing a Birthday Party demonstration and these other 2023 Butterflies (AXFHY) will be party favors
