You mean like no bearing and the axle screw is the axle, or you put a bearing blank in?

The posts touch, so the string goes around the bearing posts without touching the m3 axle.

Hey Ed and YYE – thanks for putting this contest together. It definitely helped me pick up my neglected fixed axle throws and learn some tricks, so despite what happens, I consider myself a winner.

Got around to filming my entry last night. In order: Zipper Stalls, Kickflip, Shoot the Moon + Lunar Landing, Bird, Varial, Recapture, Split the Atom. I kind of rushed to get this filmed since I’ve been working on another fixie challenge for the month, so please excuse the sloppiness haha.
All were done on a stock Duncan Butterfly. I couldn’t get split the atom last night, and had to record it this morning haha. The starburst on the butterfly is just so aggressive, I had to battle land that.
For anybody lurking in this thread who has any mild interest in fixed axle: go pick up a Butterfly! Worst case scenario you spent 5 bucks and had fun learning some new tricks, best case scenario that 5 dollar Butterfly turns into a DeHcade!

The butterfly recommendation is such a good one. Even after being spoiled by a ton of great responsive yoyos, the butterfly is still an amazing player.
Also, the ceiling bonk during STM was hilarious lolol
