Actually, in the review, from minute 3:30 to 4:30 those areas are mentioned.
I have been playing mine for the past week and I havenât noticed any catching at all
After trying a bunch of other new yo-yoâs recently Iâve been throwing my Winglet today and it is great. Fast and stable. Love this thing!
Extremely happy to hear that @BubbaCZN! Thanks for your support!
I just got my winglet. My impression is that this guy is very cool. Fast, spins well. Accurate and stable. I am glad i picked one up.
OK, you guys convinced me. I have a winglet se on the way.
Getting it ready for you! Thanks for the support!!
Holy cow! This is a great throw! So smooth. Just got it today and i donât think Iâll be able to focus on work for the next 5 hours
With the SE version do you still get the âstring clickâ at the gap yoyoJoe mentioned in his review? This really annoys me on other throws with a similar issue and is a deal breaker for me.
Winglet SE is the exact same design afaik, just run using 7068 instead of 6061.
For this run, we softened/improved that area just a tiny bit to reduce that noise Yoyojoe was talking about (he was using one of our first run ones)
Yes, we used exactly the same design for both 6061 and 7068. However, on the 7068 version we reduced the center weight few grams (behind the bearing seat) to reach the desired weight we wanted for that version. By doing so, we implicitly pushed that weight proportionally towards the rims.
First off Iâll say i have the original winglet and i actually like the ring. I have no issues with the string. But i donât do any thechy stuff yet.
I have not played my second run winglet yet, because i canât put the SE down.
The SE is effing Smooth as silk. I mentioned it in another thread, but now Iâve played it for close to 2 hours today. Itâs almost as silent as my Banshee SS and way more comfortable in my hand. The SE spins forever and feels very stable.
And honestly for the price these where a no brainer and the SE is instantly one of my favorite throw.
Is this change perceptible in a photo? If so could you provide a comparison pic of the profile?
Just to be clear, youâre saying the both the SE and the newest run of the OG have this design change, or just the newest run of the OG winglet has a slightly âsoftenedâ slope into the bearing?
The âringâ appeals to me! Too ring is to sing! I really wanna like this yoyo, Iâm just worried about the string âclickâ at the gap. If this has been softened in the 2nd run Iâll likely pick one up.
It is not perceptible (we are talking about decimals of mm) âI am attaching pictures of the profile of the first (dark) and second run (orange).
First run is sold out. Second run (all the winglets available on our site) encompasses The 6061 and the 7068. Both have exactly the same design which has that improvement.
I can see a slight difference there actually! Thanks for taking the time!
Not a problem! Thanks for asking.
WellâŚactually it should look softened
