I agree there may be differences between replicas and bootlegs, however something not made by YYR is not a YYR.

It weighs around 63/64 grams, has record grooves and no mark without ano.
I checked the site where the knockoffs were sold and looked at this particular Sleipnir and seen that they list the weight at 63 grams so more than likely you do have a fake Jesse.
Eh, no problem. I’ll probably pick up a legit YYR soon.
From what I know, there was two runs of fake Sleipnir, one with 69-70 g weight, second with 62-63 g. They used just 6065 al.
How is it possible they are already sold in Japan and we still have no info? I thought in 21st century all info is blazing fast

The blast is as good as General-Yo. Super smooth and just floats on the thumb. I also think it looks very adult.
They might have sold a few at the toy convention they were just at, but other than that they’re not released. Look for a full update on their site soon. I just want to know the weight. Hopefully <65g.
Also Geezer that black looks amazing, might have to get one in the future, but holding cash in anticipation of their new releases at the moment.

The 2013 Japan Yoyo Fair last weekend, or at least they showed them, not sure if they were even selling, but they were on their table. Means they’ll be online soon sort of like Japan Nats with the Draupnir.
I hope we can get some idea of finishes that will be available and on what schedule. I love my red draupnir, but wish I waited for the black. I really want a lazer, but would be willing to wait for the right finish.
Do YYR pads fit in bootlegs?
That’s a tricky question.
Bootlegs are often siliconed, they don’t normally have pads on them.
I’m gonna go with yes, they do fit.
But beyond that, you’ll need input from the more senior YYR collectors here.
