Where did you find this information mgiroux77, I would love to learn more about these.
That was posted on their Facebook page.

Got mine today. It is pretty amazing, but not blowing me away like the dazzler did. Will need to put in some real time, as my expectations were totally re-calibrated by my dazzler experience. It is really great though, donāt get me wrong. Weāll see how I feel later in the week after some side by side play between my current top 4, all with the same length strings:
Dazzler
Draupnir
MaxBet
Anglam CC
Nice pics, thanks! Iām hoping mine arrives tomorrow. I noticed they are sold out now in both tempered rims and red ano body.
that red is sexxxxxxxy. If I wasnāt so broke I would have been on it.
Well there went my high hopes!
Maybe āweā are correct in the way we perceive the Dazzler after all. After reading so many posts lately about how yoyos can only be āsoā good and that preference ends up being the only ārealā difference once you get to a certain price point. I like RobK thought the Dazzler played leaps and bounds better than my next favorite throws (chief and Hyperion) but had started to wonder if it was truly the placebo affect of its $700+ price tag.
I really felt like I was truly witnessing all the Dazzlerās attributes and how much better each of them were over my other throws;although, after reading so so many posts about how high end throws like the CC, Draupnir, Syzygy, etcā¦ are all equally good but have different characteristics. That had me doubting myself and what I thought I was experiencing even though the proof continued to exhibit itself with each and every throw with the Dazzler.
Out of all that rambling I guess the $700 price was for a reason. I had great thoughts about the $550 Hyperion when I first threw it and still do but its lack of stability was apparent within a few days of throwing it. It is better than all my other throws in every other category except stability. Then came the Dazzler which didnt lack in any category whatās so ever.
I put my list like this
- Dazzler
- Chief (just all around fun and has good attributes all around)
- Hyperion (when my throw improves it will move up to 2.)
- Ricochet
- TiWalker (fun but not nearly as stable as I would like)
Oh, did it come with a string? Lol.
It did come with a string.
I had the opposite of the placebo effect. I was suffering from buyers remorse between the time I ordered the dazzler and the time it arrived. I was expecting just another yoyo, and that the $700 was just crazy. I took it out and threw it, and just knew it wasnāt a mistake right away. I was not expecting to like it, was regretting it, and than decided it was the best $700 I have spent on yoyos ever.
Not getting that form the draupnir, though it does play AT LEAST as well as the anglams, and is priced in the same league, so it seems to be about right.
Oh. I totally agree Rob about having complete opposite feeling than placebo at first but then after like a week or more of reading others constantly posting that there is no best etcā¦ Yoyo I started wondering if it was placebo even though I can clearly feel/see its difference in each throw/trick I perform. I just hate that others donāt have the opportunity to actually see that there is such a yoyo out there that bests all the others. Then I wouldnāt have to read/in my case fall into that feeling like Iām possibly wrong. Ya know what Iām getting at?
Am glad the Draupnir plays as well as your other highly thought of throws tho because up until a couple weeks ago that says āa lotā.
Yeah, I know exactly what youāre saying. On all parts of your post. I am also glad you are having the same experience as me. I donāt think weāre crazy. The Dazzler set a new standard.
As for the Draupnir. After some more throw time, it is less forgiving of an imperfect throw, and prone to serious vibe on a bad throw. i donāt have this experience with my dazzler or anglam, but I do with my MaxBet.
It also feels a little light on the string to me at this point. Not light, but a little less solid.
Anyway, it is an amazing yoyo to be sure, just not as close to yoyo perfection as the Dazzler seems to be.
A couple other observations: The red is not as deep as my other red YYRs. I like this though. It is a nice bit of variety. It is a really pretty red.
Also, I find I am nailing my 1.5 mount a lot better than on any other throw. My McBride Rollercoaster falls apart more quickly than with the dazzler, but the first couple of elements start stronger. It does have some strengths.
I donāt remember what thread I was reading but saw you posted about buying a yoyo quite a long time ago (may have been the first metal thread) and I thought you had just started throwing up until I saw that.
How long have you been throwing?
Iāve managed to progress really fast since starting this summer but still think the 1.5 mount is one of the toughest to get in a smooth rhythm. That and magic drop both still give me a hard time every now and then. They both look so easy but require more finesse than meets the eye.
Black looks great, but i think i prefer brighter colors still:

That is pretty. I think I like the red one based on the available choices. Iād love a blue or orange though.
I got a SB-2 in '94ish. Played for less than 6 months, and then stopped. Never got very good. The yoyos back then were also much tougher to play, and we didnāt have you tube yet. I could do the basic intermediate tricks based on the front throw for the most part.
I have been throwing now for 4 months-ish? I am making slow progress, as my free time ebbs and flows. It is all I can do to keep my existing throws working some times. None the less, I am back in a throwing pattern. Did a freestyle combo made up on the spot in the moment tonight based on the few elements i knew and strung them together on the fly after missing a landing on a trick. Was pretty pleased that It came off as a trick, not a mistake.
Yep that is what I saw. Kool. I bet it was completely different back then for sure.
Good to hear you made a trick. I had a similar experience the other day for the first time that didnt end like yours did as Iām still stuck at one point from where I accidentally got into a kool looking position but still working on it ;).
So black is already available. I thought it was beginning of Nov. If like my tempered rims well enough Iām gonna grab a black on for the collection. Heck if it wasnāt raining and the mailbox was closer than 200 yards Iād go check to see if its here. Been sick all day so didnt check mail and saw people getting them that ordered same time as me. Poor thing is prolly out there shivering lol.
From Instagram:
Alright, I feel dumb asking, but I canāt stop myself anymore:
Are the rims on the anoād ones not still tempered? Arenāt they tempered steel rims for the entire Draupnir line? So confused.
