That pink one does not look like a Sleipnir ???

Definitely not a Sleip xD

Looks like a stargeyser

I agree with Joey. Thats definitely a stargeyser

How. You play snooker? Thatā€™s my favorite billiards game right behind 9 ball. Two completely different games by far but snooker is a dying game that really deserves more play. I was actually explaining snooker to my wife just the other day.

Well surely he needed both of the models or would have noticed the duplicate. Very much price difference between the two?

When YYRs were selling at regular prices they were both full priced models. But like most YYRs the Stargeyser was available in the discounted mystery boxes and possibly individually at a very reduced price for the short period of time that YYR were clearing out all their old models.

As far as Iā€™m aware the Sleipnir was never available at a discounted price* and seemed to still sell well at full price. Itā€™s arguably YYRs most popular design and generally more desired than the Stargeyser.

*Edit: It appears Sleipnirs were included in the A- grade mystery boxes.

Snooker is great! I used to follow it a bit when Hendry was the favourite for most tourneys.

Well my friends, red ano Draupnirā€™s are now available! Hefty $250 price tag, but I still pulled the trigger!

Ready, set, goā€¦ ;D

Sorry, copy/paste error on that last post. StarGeyser for sure.

Also, trying to order red draupnir now. Site is very sluggish though.

Where?

Man canā€™t believe Iā€™m out of the loop on this. Hope I donā€™t miss getting one!!!

Canā€™t find online for anything.

Ok got one. Wow I was worried there for a minute since this yo has so much hype.

How long will it take to get to the East Coast?

Am really hoping this doesnt make me have a convo with my Dazzler which cost 3x the Draupnir. I only got the tempered rims model as I donā€™t care for red. But all the hype from some really experienced throwers has me worried if it will come close to the Dazzler more less surpass it. When a number of people say its the best throw there is and they have played multiple yoyos that makes me nervous since I think the $700+ Dazxler is my fav but also RobKā€™s fav who hasnā€™t thrown the Draupnir either. If both of us end up thinking its better than the Dazzler then weā€™ll still have a much more rare 2nd best playing throw that is also made out of Ti. So in any case it will be an awesome unboxing/first impression. The bad thing will be that I may have to track down a red ano to put on the shelf since I prefer to throw raw colors normally.

First YYR arrived and holy cow it is a giant beast but plays so small and steady Iā€™m fully blown away! I got a dreadnaught in raw  two thumbs up!

Just curious but did you grow up gambling in pool halls? If not how old were you when was introduced to snooker? I grew up in pool halls gambling on any and everything. If there wasnā€™t a card game in the back room gambling on 9ball until people showed up to play cards was how I spent most of my time between ages 11-19 or so. I never gambled on the snooker table since most of the older people had it locked down most of the time. Their experience was far greater than my skillset so had to just enjoy what games I could get in on the table in most cases. I actually made it through middle/high school without a job just from gambling. When players see a youngster sitting across the card table they tend to deviate from their normal habits which was great for the few of us that had parents leinent enough to let us stay at card games throughout the nights on weekends.

@MLYYM,
To date, iā€™ve only spent money on one cue, and my snooker sessions are not that expensive (about $2-3 per hour) and i play once a week. I did contemplate on getting a John Parris (sort of like a YYR of snooker) cue, but since i donā€™t play often these days, iā€™ve lost interest in getting one.

The red Draupnir is the best news iā€™ve received all day. Kengo informs that theyā€™ve finally ironed out the anodization issues theyā€™ve had (yes, there a lot of b-grades, i wonder if theyā€™ll be in a lucky box), and that theyā€™ve used better quality stuff to color the Draupnirs.
Iā€™m super excited! I hope to get the review going the week mine arrives!

Ok. Serious inquires only. If I told you all that there could be a Ti Draupnir on the way how many would actually put the money up even if had to but from somewhere other than YYE?

Please serious inquires only as one wouldnā€™t want to get stuck with a foot in their mouth.

Iā€™ve got something in the works and any specs or anything other than the idea are all unknown.

Please pm me with any interest even if it depends on certain factors.

So Sanchez, when do we get a video of you busting out some tricks on your Draupnir?

As soon as I have a few more new moves figured out  Iā€™m working on a couple of new things and improving some old combos.
