I love my Fragment. I can’t believe I was ready to pass on it just a week ago! I’ve never played a more nimble, surprising yoyo in all my life!
The Mr. Butcher is pretty fantastic as well, but it plays more like the rest of my collection than I was expecting. If I had to compare it so something, it’d be the Chief, but it feels a bit most stable on the string and has a more comfortable shape.
All-in-all, I think I’m going to have to start a YYR collection. Up until now I’ve only collected One Drop’s yoyos and I’ve absolutely loved all of them, but these newer YYRs are fantastic. I can’t compare the two companies as far as their products are concerned, but I’m a bit apprehensive about making a habit of buying super-expensive yoyos all the way from Japan. Do I really have a choice, though? You all know how it is, I’m sure. You get a few and just don’t stop!
I’m so happy I bought a Sleipnir when I did. I got an orange one that has absolutely no ano lines/burns/flaws at all. I was working on learning Pump House with my Chief, Puffin, and Pro, but couldn’t keep the yoyo from going off axis and tilting. I pulled my Sleipnir out and I got the trick down in about 30 minutes. I had the good fortune to be able to try a few of YYR’s models, and the Sleipnir is definitely the best for me. I do hope to be able to get an Attune that I don’t have to sell though. It seemed similar to the Sleipnir, only faster and less stable. Still really stable compared to other companies yoyos though.
Yeah, I can agree! These recent sales did a number on my credit card, but it was worth it. I have 5 more on the way, including a Fragmant, Uragment, Mr. Butcher, Clashcube and Gleipnir!

Hi
my order invoice is #417… shipped June 9th
have just arrived! … 5 days including customs clearance … wow!
IMHO
the choice to make these balances in my opinion was a mistake, especially for recent models, with great development and characteristics of originality as Mr. Butcher.
I don’t like the new models, they have lost the great added value that this brand has always had, “the family feeling”, and adopt solutions that are already used for years by their competitors.
the price of dazzler is incomprehensible… $ 525 for a yoyo, although titanium, don’t have the slightest sense in my opinion.
anyway we’ll see how it goes in the future … for now I enjoy the ones I have!
The Dazzler certainly isn’t for everyone, and i don’t think it will be a big part of their line-up, just something new they wanted to try. I think the Draupnir is reasonably priced, if that’s possible. It’s a little less than $20 more than the Berserker and Berserker RX, which are made in China(nothing against China), and $25 less than the Anglam(although i realize it has titanium rings), it’s $20 more than the Anglam CC as well, which makes the CC probably the best deal in the high-end hybrid Japanese yoyo market, but still not too expensive for what it is imo. I’ve owned a Berserker and an Anglam and they can’t touch the Draupnir. The thing that sets the Draupnir apart from other hybrids is the weight. All of them seem to be so heavy and don’t really benefit from the hybrid design, but the Draupnir at 63.5g has such an amazing lightness to it, but also this ridiculous power of spin, super nice. And compared to their standard prices it’s not a massive premium and probably worth it for all of the extra labor involved. Just waiting for them to release an anodized Draupnir with raw rims, man that would be gorgeous.

yes, relative to the price, I was referring only to the dazzler.
The price of Draupnir is a great price, also in consideration of its perfect workmanship … it is virtually impossible to tell which is a bi-material!!!
P.S. my red clash 2012 has tiny scratch (… angel hair…) To consider b-grade? … well this is prefect and beautiful!
The re-clash is… WOW! ;D
Dazzler is priced about the same as most of the titaniums that Oxygene have released in the past. I’m guessing that we’ll be seeing similarly small run sizes and it’ll be more of a collector’s item than a competition staple for the YYR team.
Now the Draupnir, on the other hand, is a gorgeous thing and priced just about right. It really is difficult to tell it’s a bi-metal (hence all the speculation on this very thread prior to the release of details).

True! However, imho, are absolutely crazy prices.
I’m Italian, I know personally Carlo Alberto Menon (Oxygéné) … and I never wanted to buy an Oxy Ti … I have a Ti-walker, a Sovereign, but not an Oxy and… I’m not repent.
For sure the Dazzler is overpriced a bit imo. That’s why i was absolutely shocked when i learned the price. Even $350 for the Ti5 was expensive. Maybe i just don’t understand the intricacies of manufacturing titanium. I thought for sure it would be $250-$300. Oh well. Hopefully they’ll make some more bi-metals.
I was expecting it to sit around the $400 mark which, while still very expensive, keeps it out of the “how long do I have to forego food?” category. Some more bi-metals would be brilliant. Bring on more Draupnirs!
