Wow some crazy new throws out. Been waiting for a Fragment forever but it looks like they just released the Uragment which looks similar but is a few tenths smaller in dimension and a little lighter?
I actually really dig the dye bleeding look – it seems to achieve a similar effect that made the original splash Peaks that were done by Pioneer which I’ve always loved. That is, I would dig it if it wasn’t on YYR’s throws. YYR needs solid coloration, unless of course it’s a super boss Retro Rewind Overdrive by my man Jason Wong over here. Sunny’s taking care of that one for me. I’m pretty much only playing 2010-2012 Clashes now.
4 Clashes, a ruined Blink, a Sleipnir and a Gleipnir. I keep meaning to list the last 2 for sale but I’ve been too lazy for about 4 months now lol.
EDIT: Oh, and I also have this Stardust 2 that no one in the world seems to want. Man, I wish someone else had this same problem when I was breaking my back trying to get ahold of it.
I’ve just the 2011 Clash, Sleipnir, DreadG, and modded Stargazer v1 now.
I never see anyone selling the Stardust 2 maybe you can find a home for it. I always wanted to try a Stardust (any version) but the smaller size is a dealbreaker for me.
Does anybody have any opinions on the Mr. Butcher? I feel like it’s unique weight distribution has to make it play somewhat differently. Does anybody who owns one have a comparison they could make to other yo-yos? They say it gives you more “control” but I don’t really understand what that means because I’ve never heard another yo-yo described the same way.
Mr Butcher is definitely unique in the YYR arsenal. I did a mini-review of it awhile back:
I still have mine and love it. It places much of the weight in the center - but not in the way you would expect. The heaviness is beveled into the center and tapers towards the edge. This makes it very stable for 5A and would give great control since the weight is not pushed only to the rims making it hard to maneuver. This also adds to a great spin and a stability that is hard to knock …pun intended.
If you are into 5A - this is a must-try. If all you do is 1A - then there might be others I would get first.
This looks even better in person. Because of YYR anodizing, the colors on this Benson Fok edition really pop. I am not too much into multiple copies of the same yoyo. But with this one I could not resist. An amazing anodizing job on one of the best yo-yo’s on the planet? I was powerless.
