If the rings are a little salty they are prolly stainless.
The confusion is justified. You can see where the ring starts, but itâs near invisible where it ends in the cup.

Not likely. Should be press-fit.
There are plenty of reasons to suspect the ring ends where it does and no valid reasons to suspect it extends into the cup. The inability to see where the ring ends is not grounds to assume it takes up the entire cup.
So talked today with Kengo Kido, Laser is 7075 body with steel ring(and itâs just ring, not whole cap)
There is also new run of Triad in solid white and this run shouldnât cut string anymore.

Using multiple senses to evaluate materials is perfectly sensible. How else would you evaluate materials when a spectrometer or a hardness meter is not available? Honestly, you are criticizing people for trying to be helpful and answer questions put onto the forum.
Contending that this is all âobvious from the picturesâ ignores the fact that many with access to the same information; came to different conclusions. therefore, it is clearly NOT obvious. That you guessed correctly is laudable; but does not give you leave to mock others.
Taste is the most subjective sense and unless you cleaned it before you licked it you were probably tasting your own sweat.

Means one of two things, neither of which us good. Either your Draupnir is made of chocolate or you have a brain tumour causing metal to taste like chocolate

The Sputnik plays stable and heavy kind of in between the laser and a generic YYF, although I only got to throw it for like 2 minutes and bimetals often feel heavy in the beginning, same with the draupnir.
