I too would love to see a few more blasted colours (especially purple). Itâs a shame that you see so little blasting on YYR models, and Japanese models as a whole. :-\
Phasers and the new Anglam CC dropped this morning. I estimate they released about 100 of each, possibly slightly more. I donât see them selling out any time soon.
Phaser released in red and yellow. Both are beautiful (not going down that road again lol) but I bought a red one.
Anglam CC released in emerald green and blue with red splash. Havenât decided whether Iâm getting one of these yet, but good newsâit now uses stainless steel rings instead of 7075.
For some reason sOMETHING shrunk the trapeze width on both of these, which I found a little disappointing. I guess they wanted extreme rim weight for stability and horizontal trickiness.
The price is relatively good, tooâ19800 yen at Japanese sites, more at sites priced in USDâ$210 at one international site and $240 at another.

I thought the Phaser was supposed to be titanium? Hopefully it plays with a touch more soul and fun than the Anglams Iâve encountered.
Yeah Crazy-D is based on Superfly Remix and Phaser is based on Superfly Remix. There are some significant changes to the specs and shape, though. Same with the Anglam CC, though the changes arenât as severe.
Iâd love to know how the new Anglam CC compares to the Anglam. I still have never played one.
Phaser was never supposed to be titanium. That rumor was started based on Mickeyâs super special titanium Anglam he developed with Louis Vuitton. That yo-yo is titanium and likely expensive as heck. I doubt it will ever be put into mass production, but who knows?

Itâs basically just the âJapanese yo-yo appreciation thread.â At least thatâs how I see it. Some of us have tried making other specific brand threads like âYoyomonster appreciation threadâ but it got no traffic. So I just talk about all Japanese yo-yos in this thread and so do others.
Youâll note I mentioned YYR released new Diffusion 2 colorsâŠif they release something else Iâm all over it, but right now other companies are dropping more fancy bi-metals. 
I guess it also has something to do with a lot of people using YYR as the yard stick for what a good Japanese yoyo should be.
