Then buy one if you think it looks great. Obviously neither one of us is ârightâ about it looking good or not since this is inherently subjective, but itâs clear most people agree with me as this is the slowest Iâve ever seen a Draupnir sell.
Agreed, and Iâm very glad that they decided to widen it. To me it was always the only minor issue I ever had with the original Draupnir, so to see them amend it was fantastic.

lol gee, it couldnât possibly be the slowest selling because so many Draupnirs are now out in the wild. Thereâs what, like 3 or 4 on the BST right now alone? With each successive release they will sell slower and slower, this is pretty basic stuff.

I doubt it. Certain colorways are still highly sought after. If they release a purple or hot pink Draupnir it will kill, even if itâs two months from now.
The blacks sold out in a day, these green ones will take far longer, and itâs not just because it came out later. If they switched the release order, black would still sell faster.
Everyone Iâve talked to agrees this is the worst colorway. I know itâs an opinion whether itâs the best/worst colorway, but itâs just a fact that people on average donât really like green as a colorway.
Iâll wager you $100 the greens sell out slower than a later purple release (assuming they do one). We can both pay a trusted intermediary $100 and get back $200, $0, or $100 if you win, lose, or there is no purple, respectively.

I think its so odd how people hate on Raw yoyosâŚI personally love how a nice shiny raw yoyo looks. I think many japanese would agree since many use Raw and/or Clear ano yoyos.

I donât think it looks bad, just relatively bad next to the other colorways. Iâve talked to people who hate the color. Itâs not just me. Most people just wonât come out and say it. Positive comments are much more likely to be made than negative comments because of how negative comments are perceived. I just donât particularly mind if people jump all over me. Anyway, Iâm making my judgments based primarily on how fast the yo-yo is moving. And I donât buy this âlater releases always sell slowerâ idea. Time of release is only one of many factors determining how fast a yo-yo sells. The gold version sold faster than the initial releases. The second run of black sold faster than the gold and the initial releases. Suddenly Emerald wonât sell because the market is flooded? LOL. I just sold a gold one for $300.
And Iâm willing to take action with anybody that green will sell slower than purple, regardless of when itâs released.
I think the faster selling of the gold and black can be attributed to the fact that word had gotten out about how good Draupnirs actually were and the fact that a lot of people wanted to try one with the wider gap. When the Draupnir first came out people were a bit hesitant to jump on board because $220 is a lot of money to be throwing at a yoyo nobody really knows anything about.
That said though, I do prefer the raw and black to the emerald but I like the emerald more than the gold, red and blue.

Shai, nobody is saying you shouldnât have an opinion, or that green will sell out faster than Purple. I agree with you on that one.
Itâs the language you use when you voice your opinion that puts peopleâs backs up. â[Mickey] seems to like gross colors like thatâ, âgreen looks like crapâ, âEveryone Iâve talked to agrees this is the worst colorwayâ <----the last one is I think the most important, because it means youâre dismissing those who have posted on this very thread that they like the color. By not including them in your âEveryoneâ you dismiss their opinion as not valid or important. And then within a few posts you go to $100 bets. (Which made me laugh out loud, by the way â who does that?)
Not saying you shouldnât have your opinion, or that you shouldnât express it. Iâm not even saying that youâre actually dismissive of othersâ opinions in this thread, just that it comes off that way. Thatâs why youâre always in arguments with one person or another, itâs all about tone, not your opinion. My $0.02.
I will note that NathanC also didnât react right, either. âYou say the most ridiculous thingsâŚâ is probably not the best way to foster lively discussion either. =P

I do too. Problem is that my hands turn nice shiny raw yoyos into dull not attractive raw yoyos pretty quickly. Clear anno is good.

A) I said purple would sell out faster than green, not vice versa.
B) I said âI think the Emerald Green looks like crap, relatively speaking.â Thatâs a lot different than saying it looks like crap. Youâre taking my quotes out of context.
C) Mickey does seem to like colors I find gross. Just stating my opinion, and my deepest apologies if I said anything not entirely politic.
Iâm not disrespecting anybody. If I said everybody Iâve talked to says X, I literally mean everybody Iâve talked to about the issue up to that point, which did not include anyone in here who said they loved the color. I am not discounting anyoneâs opinion here, though some people seem to have discounted mine by implying I am the only person who doesnât like the color, which is clearly not true.
BTW Iâll take action on anything. Iâm a former professional gambler. Proposing bets is an easy way to make money. I donât care whether itâs normal or not, and neither should you. If you get into an argument and probabilistically believe your side has more merit, you should offer action on your proposition. You probably havenât spent much time among gamblers because proposition bets are very common.
Lastly, Iâm tone-deaf, metaphorically speaking. Iâm aware I get into arguments a lot, I donât always understand why, and Iâve stopped caring.
Now azunyan, go cry in SmashYo about how I donât favor green yo-yos or something.
