YoYoRecreation Appreciation Thread

Ok, everything aside I need some help from someone knowledgeable, I just found a picture of a mr. Butcher that looks exactly the same, right down to the engravings.

If someone would be able to PM me that is willing to answer some questions for me, please do.

Sorry for posting the link, I did not really see another way… I do understand that this is a site that is owned by a yoyo store.

Thanks.

Ok, I had a look, it’s definitely a B- grade 100% legit Mr. Butcher

Whew… That is a load off.

Since there was a lot of interest a few pages back in Sturm Panzer and in particular the new 59.7g Leo Sniper MK II, I just wanted to let you guys know I finally posted my review (of the Leo Sniper and the Eclipse Ogre).

Sturm Panzer MEGA-REVIEW: Eclipse Ogre and 2014 Leo Sniper MK II

^Looks good

Just nabbed a yellow diffusion. Super pumped!

Nice!

Thanks to Shai Hulud I found a Draupnir in stock on a Japanese site. I ordered it, have no idea how long it will take to arrive, but I’m pretty psyched!

It’s not black like I wanted, but it will hold me until I can find a black one. =)

Nice, he helped me find it, but my parents wouldn’t let me get it. Too expensive for me. Anyways I’m sure you’ll love it, I’ve heard great things about it.

Let’s face it, it was probably too expensive for me, too. o.O

My wallet is light now. And of course yoyoexpert just announced 15% off tomorrow. Curses.

I spent 22000 or whatever on a red one and wasn’t remotely disappointed. YYE doesn’t carry a lot of the best throws sadly. Not their fault. Mostly it’s the YYJ patent, plus limited marketability here for 19800+ yo-yos from companies most of the people here aren’t familiar with.

There will always be more yo-yos and more sales, thankfully. On CyberMonday a certain site had like 30% off IIRC. Probably will again. Plus we can expect all kinds of new yo-yos and probably some sales in mid-August

P.S. I’d expect it to arrive in 5 - 10 days. I’ve ordered lots of yo-yos from Japan and they usually ship out immediately and EMS is surprisingly fast. Typically takes about 5 business days. Only exception I remember was when I ordered around Christmas once and it took about twice that. You will almost certainly have to sign for it, which personally I find annoying, otherwise you’ll have to take the slip in your mailbox and go by USPS the next day.

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll probably just work from home on the day its delivered. Or if it’s not actually signature confirmation but just the “don’t leave it on the doorstep” thing it will be fine, since I live in an apartment complex and they can leave it at the office.

Still will be on the hunt for a black one, but super excited to get the silver one.

In my experience they won’t leave them in the mailbox. Every EMS package I received required a signature. It’s possible this practice differs regionally, but I’d be surprise. So you either track the package and stay home when it’s delivered or wait an extra day and run by the post office.

I understand. But usually USPS takes packages that won’t fit in my mailbox to the apartment complex office. I just wonder if they would take a signature from one of those folks, or if it has to be me.

In the end, I’ll probably just work from home the day it’s out for delivery, just to make sure.

Anybody see the new Titanium sOMEThING, the Phaser?

no, but I’m curious

Im interested, couldnt find anything from a google search. Japanese site perhaps? =)

Sounds like sOMETHING is taking name inspiration from YYR. Come on… Dazzler, Laser, Phaser…
And great, it’s titanium. Since sOMETHING sells the Anglam for ~$230 we can probably expect a full titanium yo-yo to run $600-700.

The Anglam is $289.

Only in USD price. If you look on shop selling in yen, it’s just 22 800, which is about 225$. It’s because Mickey has super strict policy on price, price on Soemthing models has to be always same, you can’t even get discount on it, if store runs some special sale(at least in Japan). Problem is, that price is set both in USD and Yen and ignore changes in exchange rate. So Mickey and shops just get more money from it, when Yen went down.
