off topic but that’s a very nice picture.
I dont believe this is fake, maybe more like B-grade? From my Chinese sources, there were no fakes of newer YYR models.
measures must be taken!
Maybe it’s an A- grade
I laughed way to hard at this. Bravo.
I saw the real thing and it looked much cleaner, wait, i just weighed it, its 66 grams, more than one gram off.
Did you weigh it before or after lunch?
After, why, unless you are messing with me, in that case… Well played…
:
Depending on websites I found the Mr Butcher to weigh between 66 and 68g, sounds legit, just a B-grade as Bìna said
It is also kinda shiny and the bearing well is flat.
well, I can’t help more on this one, given I’ve just briefly tried the MrButcher once
I hope you can figure this out, you could create a topic asking to Mr Butcher owners if anyone have the same issue, you may find people that don’t necessarily read this thread
As many of us have stated there aren’t knockoffs of that model. At worst it could be a bgrade but it’s a real deal. Also your scale could be not super accurate and that could be the weight issue. Maybe posting a clearer picture in better lighting can help.
No offense to Butcher fans but if I were to fake a YYR it wouldn’t be a Mr. Butcher. Probably a Draupnir.
This just killed me
Hmm, well i think i found a site that sells fakes…
[Online store link removed]
Please don’t link to other online stores. Thanks.

The link I removed did indeed lead to a bootleg Mr. Butcher. I believe the one pictured in this thread is fake. The off center engravings were a tell tale sign of the fakes.
I still believe it is some sort of bgrade. A better picture would help a lot. I mainly want to see the color in better lighting.
modman, if you could please send me the link in private, I’d appreciate it
I don’t believe it’s a fake. On another site that sells yo-yos, cough worldwide cough the picture of the Mr. Butcher has off center engravings.
