I thought you guys were just being a bunch of whiny cry babies resistant to change. Then I saw the new logo. Totally gross. I apologize for my earlier thoughts…
the first logo was very brilliant (44re:creation)
the second was essential and elegant, fully reflected the philosophy of their yoyos.

I like both of them equally, although I never saw the 44: recreation one.

So, I’ve been offered a Positron for my Butcher… I have not tried the Positron. I’ve had several TP’s in the past (Leviathan, Leviathan 2, RT…) and was not blown away by them. Don’t get me wrong, they were good but they just didn’t have any exceptional properties… I like the overall feel of the Butcher but if anyone knows me, they know I like to try different yoyos ALL the time.
So, basically, I’m asking if I’d be a fool to let the Butcher go for an older TP?

The Positron is probably the better throw in terms of performance but it feels kind of lifeless and bland to me, especially compared to the Butcher. If it was up to me, I’d keep the Butcher.

That’s what I was thinking… I’ve seen a handful of Butchers up for grabs lately so I figured I could get another one. I’m sure once those are gone, though, they will disappear for a while, lol.
Any comments on the new Diffusion?
I’ve been throwing YYR for a while and I just realized I’m not sure I’m pronouncing the name correctly.
Is it “Yoyo ree-cree-ation”
or “Yoyo rec-ree-ation”
does it mean recreation, as in being created again, or does it mean recreation as in leisure and free time?
since it was originally 44re:creation, I’ve always thought it was like “created again”.

Miami, where are you seeing the Butchers??
I don’t remember the usernames but there is a raw/clear one up right now and, I think, a red one. Plus my red one… that’s all I can remember right off hand. I’ll have to see who they are later. No black though.
There are also new Butchers available in the mysterious lands to the east. One raw, one silver (looks same as raw but less shiny), and one black. PM me if you want the site.
Thanks to the both of you. I’d rather get one of the BST, though. Retail YYR is rather unappealing to me haha.

I personally wouldn’t do it, the Butcher has a huge personality to it and a very unique feel. The Positron, though a great performing throw, can feel lifeless, almost like a computer.
I’ve decided against the Positron. It’d have to be something in the newer lineup before I’d break, I think.
Ummm…everyone, the new Diffusion is no joke. Holy cow. Words cannot describe this yoyo or its cost. For $35 it is absolutely out of this world. It needs to be in everyone’s collection and really there’s never a need for anyone to make another plastic yoyo ever again. This is it.
