Yoyoexpert Gift Exchange :)

I’ve heard from the guy whose supposed to ship to me but still haven’t seen any gift. Trying to be patient

Thanks for the kind words. And hope Jcpdx503 gets his soon, he deserves a good one from this waiting.

I’m like you man, as long as I receive something that hits the limit set for the exchange I’m good I just don’t want to feel like I participated In a charity. Dingo send me a PM bro the model 10 tracking isn’t updating

I have quite a few packages on the way and none of the tracking has been updating on any of them, so I’ve just stopped tracking them all except one for now lol.

My big package, that came yesterday, didn’t update till it was at my local post office. For 10 days it said it was still in Asia

I sent him a Light Up Freehand Zero which is sold for $25 on YYE

I agree, if I sent away a few $50+ throws and received a used FHZ that wasn’t a special/limited edition or anything, I’d be a bit bummed. I think the new rule should be for future gift exchanges that the yoyo must sell for over $50 and it cannot be a combination of cheaper throws to make up this $50 total. If people want to include a $50 yoyo and a few cheaper ones as well, then that’s fine, but there has to be at least 1 $50 dollar throw. Most people already do this, but we have a lot of people out there who send away the crappiest yoyo’s they can find with good chances that they’ll end up with a really good metal. I think some people just take advantage and others are naive’. I say we put an age limit for the exchanges as well, like 18-20, since almost anyone over that age limit knows the real value of money and knows that a used yoyo is not always worth the price of what they sell for new. I just think there would be far less issues with people receiving their yoyo’s on time since there would be no excuses about their mom or dad couldn’t take them to the post office or parents forbidding them from trading online, etc.

This is just my personal opinion and I am sure there are a lot of younger traders out there who can ship on time and are sending a correctly valued throw or even multiples, but it’s the same as anything else, the ones who don’t seem to care or try and send off their $20 beaters in chances of getting a One Drop or CLYW ruin it for the rest of you.

Doubleyo7: you know very well that the gift you gave was crap. It was a used 25$ plastic and a proyo( usually are just given away at schools so they dont really have a price). I checked out your bst and any of the yoyos you had up would have been a perfect gift. The least you could have done is added money to your gift. You used this gift exchange as an opportunity to get rid of crappy throws and get goo stuff in return. Please dont participate in these types of events again.

Genji: i agree with your post. You pretty much summed up what i said in easire to understand language. However i dont agree with what you said about age restriction. Judgeing that 90% of this forum are made up of kids i dont see how that would work. Also most traders of younger ages are as reliable as adults. I am only 15, but i still treat all the deals i make with care.

Well, like I said most people wouldn’t agree. I would however lift this age restriction for people who are more well known on the forums, like yourself and also for those who have participated in previous gift exchanges/secret santa’s and had verified that they gave a decent enough throw.

This guy is a cool dude. He has shipped me a Remnant!(I think, I dont remember) even though i said I was fine. And to the post about age restrictions, anyone can lie. Also, I have 40 trades, and should have 3 feedback more by tomorrow.

Or…maybe just having a rule about getting the yoyo(s) you are going to send approved by the person in charge of the gift exchange, I think that would be fair and they would have the power to say, you need to have another yoyo you’re going to give out that is over ‘so and so value’ so people do not get gypped out of a decent throw.

Juliang22; send me your address and I’ll send you a few throws since you got gypped out of a nice yoyo.

I don’t really like the age restrictions because I’m 14 and I Spent all the money I had on a gift so I could get them something they would like and they did sooooo ya…

Thank you so much for the offer genji. However it was not me who got ripped off, it was dingo54. I recieved a zeekio tempest, counterweight, and string cutter which I thought was an awesome gift. Now it looks as if dingo54 might get some compensation with that remnent. I was just trying to look out for him. Once again thank you so much for the generous offer.

Yeah, I was already cool with it, but thanks for your generosity! I have just given a “starter kit” to a player, and now the compensation gift will help make up for what I got rid of these past few weeks.

Okay okay…maybe the age restriction is a bit too harsh lol I still say running the yoyo(s) you are going to send by the person who started the gift exchange for proper approval is still a good idea though.

Still nothing lol
My guy said he was gonna figure it out but haven’t heard from him since

Says he shipped before deadline but has no tracking number to give to prove that

Im the guy who’s package hadn’t been received. I didnt keep the receipt and it’s been a dead end with the PO. I’m just gonna send another package hopefully tomorrow of we aren’t snowed in

Just to let you guys know, i got a way cool gift now. Doubleyo sent me a remnant with a bombsquad wooden yoyo, a crucial holder, and a bombsquad imperial wood yoyo. he is one cool guy!

Now that is a great gift. Cheers to doublyo7 for stepping up and making things right.

I’m actually glad you enjoyed it, Juliang22…Feels good knowing I gave a throw that’s hopefully getting use. I had way too many, and it’s really a unique throw in my book for it’s play vs. weight distribution. Again, glad to hear you like the gift.
