It’s interesting every proto I’ve ever made are basically aggressive versions of the production run design. They all want to take your head off.
I admire the petri. It’s so neat looking.
It’s part of the Spinworthy Brand
This looks much more expanded than I remember
What ever do you mean?
Not much different from where I started…(lies)
Maybe a tad bit bigger… only added 9 slots tonight…
I remember you saying “if I add one small row or column at a time, she might not notice how much it’s growing”
Still sticking by that statement?
In the beginning, it was blatantly obvious. Now, not so much. LOL
Knowing whats coming in the mail eventually, it needed to grow a little anyways.
2 recent boxes added 7 yoyos. They need homes too. 4 from Ardeus and 3 from TryCatch Throw.
Thats about a 6% increase… Not noticeable…
Thats my story and I sticking too it.
YAD is real! But I dont have a problem.
I really want to find one of the Petri’s that has been anodized to look like it has bacterial growth.
Thank you kindly.
I JUST saw the Petri for the first time ever like 15 minutes ago, haha!
There’s one on the BST and I was like “that’s super interesting” lol
@Glenacius_K Have you ever considered designing an aluminum fixed axle?
Yeah I have.
Did you ultimately decide against it?
I just don’t get the point.
He invented MR85 designs so you can easily convert your metal responsives to fixies easy as heck, even if it is against his wishes
I’m pretty sure glen does NOT approve, but just brick up those bearings or throw a 3d printed blank in and your RBC or harbinger becomes a fixed axle monster. My RBC with a blank is probably my favorite fixie.
I need a yo-yo wall…but first I need enough throws to warrant a yo-yo wall…
I finally filled my toolbox, though! 24 throws! w00t!
(3 are Butterflies, but it still counts!)
I’m modeling an MR85 blank to 3d print at the moment actually. Glad to hear it will theoretically work haha.
I have a 2-yoyo Sochi case with one stock RBC and one bricked bearing RBC. The mesh pocket on top is packed with a dozen RBC replacement pads and a couple extra bearings lol. I gotta grab it later and post a pic.
Is the MR85 bearing the same outer diameter as the axle in a SpinWorthy? Still larger than say a Butterfly axle though I assume?
