Yoyo Boomers Club

I was gonna say those 3D printed weight rings for the freehand 1 but o rings fit the bill perfectly.

I’m sure Jake appreciates the feedback, but ultimately and respectfully the design should be his after deciphering input and working his magic.

@G2_Jake I’ll PM you all the specifications that the yo-yo has to have.

I’m excited to see what he puts together. It’s gonna be fun on a bun!

So we going for a dif e yo vibe on a responsive. I can dig it.

Jake can make whatever he likes and I’ll probably buy it. He can’t stop me from adding my own o rings for weight lol

I’ve got faith in his methods. I got my Relic from the push-up challenge and I had no idea what to expect from a capped, aluminum, slim unresponsive. It’s been hard to put down since I got it.

Send me your Specs Sir.

I will present them to the committee that is working this project for the club.

The committee has been chatting about this behind the scenes. This is a follow up with the club before we go to the CAD work.

And by “We”, I mean Mr. Jake.

I forget who Is on the committee but the reason we have a committee was to ensure we all get to pump in input but the end design doesn’t get too watered down by being filtered by a few volunteers. Happy to see progress. Happy to continue to give inputs. Will be excited to see the results

I wish. I probably should have been more clear. Maybe after this little venture I’ll get some nice pencils and start drawing yo-yos myself. It has been something I’ve wanted to do.

I like the idea of weight rings but definitely not married to the idea. How do we feel about making it accept maybe freehand caps instead? It wouldn’t come with caps, to be clear, just able to accept them.

That could be cool. What’s the average weight a pair of those add?

Layerinfinity rings and freehand caps sounds like awesome additions.

27b stroke 6… bloody paperwork.

So is it assumed that the response will be silicone pads or is there room to discuss cork?? I’m a big fan of being able to use lighter throws like this with a dry bearing and still get a reliable response. I bulldogged 2 3mm A bearings “dry” in the Turbo Grind Machine just to see if it would play unresponsive and it STILL responded without a hitch. Just as reliable as ever. This is why I mention cork. It’s pretty darn impressive as a response system.

Response for the responsive will be the wide thin pads I had made for the respawn series.

Unresponsive will be my G20 pads I just had made. Kind of a middle ground between the 19mm and Dad pads. Reminds me of old flowable response

I think usually 2ish grams each, 4 for the pair.
I think.

Thanks for the “response” Jake.
That sounds great actually.

The design looks like it would be even more comfy in the hand with some caps, and with a base weight of 50 grams, caps would bring it up to the weight that was mentioned earlier. So not a bad idea at all. Versatility is good.

I think it could be cool. Just spit ballin’ here though. I have no idea if it’s even feasible. I’ll ask Jake.
