I recently read a post somewhere asking if gentry still could do his past routines. I guess he answered that question. Ha
I like that they are saying what yoyo they are using. I been always wanting to know that every freestyle I watch

This whole thing has been setup and presented so well for everyone watching elsewhere. Also I think stating the yoyo you’re using on stage is just good marketing too

I love this aspect and wish more contests did this, it’s fantastic for documentation purposes. Super awesome to go back and not have to wonder or guess what a player is using.

If you guys haven’t seen it, you GOTTA watch Ayumu Kasuga’s prelim… he just competed WITH A BROKEN FINGER 
And he STILL killed it. Absolute must watch.
We’re about to head into the Women’s Finals rn. Couldn’t be more excited to find out the prelim results afterwards - this comp is just SO stacked, it’s hard to say who’s gonna make it and who’s not.

Couldn’t be happier that my boi Justin made it! However I’m also VERY bummed and confused as to why the hell Leonid and Kris didn’t make it though… the crowd energy was insane for Leonid specifically and even Evan said it was his fav freestyle of the contest so far. For him to get 41st seems STRANGE af and oddly low to me.
Had a super awesome time enjoying the contest today despite me being 5500+ miles away and sleep deprived lol. Extremely pumped for the next two days.

I thought too about leonid but those over head banger whips must just eat too much time for the amount they score idk though I thought it was super sick and fairly clean so that’s a bummer I haven’t seen kris yet

I’m pretty stoked to see Remy up there at the top of the prelims after he kept coming up a little short the last couple contests, gotta catch up this morning but it sounds/looks like he hit pretty clean

Kinda bummed that Angelo just missed the semi’s =[, his routine was one of the cleanest ive seen hom execute this contest season. Really cant wait to see him on stage again next year

I stayed up til about 4 AM and then passed out and missed the last half of group 2 in 1a. The stream production was super good, looking forward to watching the rest this weekend. I wonder if the jet lag affects the Americans at all. Being so tired watching last night had me wondering hah.

I agree and do think it’s sick when they announce it but it’s kind of annoying that they didn’t announce it for everyone. It seems like it’s just the yo-yos and gear by the companies that are sponsoring the event. I do think it’s good and those companies should get a nod for sponsorship, but still, I don’t like how it’s inconsistent.
