yeah… I think everything is very silent about this.
Yeah this needs a response ASAP.
I think we all know the reason
Relatively speaking I think I was more impressed by his 2019 freestyle. I feel like the gap has gotten closer between him and everyone else (granted, gap still very large). The level of the top 10ish 3a players is so much higher than it’s ever been imo. Alex Hattori was runner up 2019 and he didn’t even make finals this year! There’s new players that have come up over the past 5 years that have impressed me a lot like Sora Tahira, Dong Young Kim, and Oh Jiho (another guy I was surprised didn’t make finals!) and the overall final/semi-final field felt so much faster, smoother, and asymmetrical/unique than any previous years.
Unbelievable. I simply can’t comprehend.
Just rewatching his 2019 and I think I still prefer his 2023. Both are fantastic but his flow and pacing just felt spot on this year. I’m also very excited to see the other 3a finalist when those videos get released especially Sora!
Yeah! Loved Chen Yang’s freestyle and tricks so much too.
Hajime had some of most beautifully constructed tricks and ideas and execution I’ve ever seen. Just gorgeous.
Oh no yeah I def prefer his 2023 freestyle, I just meant I was more blown away when I saw his 2019 freestyle live at the time than 2023 cuz I felt like he was even further ahead of everyone else than this year.
2019 I felt like I was watching him create the meta, and this year while it was still insane and far ahead of everyone else, it was building upon what he was developing.
And if you watch the newer top players that have come up the past 5 years like Tahira, Dong, and Oh Jiho, I think you can see some of the influence that Hajime has had compared to some of the vets like Minato or Tomoya. I could see glimpses of Hajime in some of the other finalists this year whereas in 2019 Hajime was just completely in a league of his own.
The level of this worlds have been insane for real, great tricks and also great mood, love the crowd super excited for the tricks and from the videos I seen on Instagram and here it seemed an overall great vibe over there Mir preliminary is even more insane than the final, I just did loved it and same the Miura in 3a, he just raise the bar every time, his freestyle was seriously something else, I do not play 3a but this kind of videos make me wish to start!
P.s. = I see next year is in USA, probably will organise myself to come and see and meet all the people I know there, seems such a great event
I’m gonna try and go for sure, would LOVE to see you there king
I was already talking with my partner so I do not have to travel alone, her dad live in Texas close to Houston which is not even 3 hours plane from Cleveland, we was thinking to come to the worlds and than go to her dad, if I come in USA I want to stay at least 2/3 weeks lmao
He called that ish 7 months ago lmaoo, game recognize game.
This video is also lowkey a gold mine if you’re a competitor
I honestly thought expectations were going to be too much and a big difference doing it in person but he’s proven to be the goat. Much respect for Mir. I hope he sells a ton of yo-yos with that win!
Please do!! Im gonna try and be there too!
We will form the greatest worlds group the yo-yo community has ever seen
Gonna be a blast
I’m definitely trying to go! I still have yet to meet another yoyoer in person.
its on my bucket list to go at least once, definitely gonna try while its in the US.
