What's a quick way to clear a bearing without taking it apart?

I don’t have lighter fluid or pliers. I don’t need a full clean, I just need to get rid of some gunk from my precious yoyo.

If you can manage to deshield it you can use a piece of paper to extract gunk from the inside. You might even be able to do this with the bearing still stuck on the post.

Bearing Cleaning: Paper Slip Method

Been cleaning your bearing all day with different kinds of solvent and still got dirty bearing? try the paper slip method. What you need: Dirty bearing. Small pieces of paper cut as shown below, must be clean. Solvent/mineral spirit. How you do it: Cut small section of paper in sharp triangular shapes, and fold it in half to increase its strength.
