What yoyo do you want for the holidays?

I have it, real nice yoyo. I recommend it, pm me if you want more info.

Queen, Nomad, Barracuda

My Secret Santa gift…

Ah that sucks, you still didn’t get it?

Nope, hoping it’s in my mailbox today, but it’s still fairly late regardless. I mean, using USPS flat rate priority boxes, whomever it is could have shipped this last Friday or Saturday and it should be here by today. That would have been like a week late from when we were all supposed to ship by. So long as I eventually get it, I don’t care, but I’m starting to worry a bit.

I want some yoyo Lube!!! I am currently new to yoyoing (been here for six weeks) and my parents won’t let me get some because it’s ‘too close to Christmas’!

Can i use aloe-vera or Vaseline? My bearing NEEDS to be lubed!!! :o  ???

Wutwut? No. And again no.

Aloe-vera is too viscous and if it’s in a bottle it’s usually mixed with alcohol which is a contributor to corrosion.

Vaseline is also far too viscous. The smallest amount in your bearing will render it responsive.

You likely don’t need to lube it. Look up how to clean yoyo bearings, usually mineral spirits is recommended but most solvents will work if you dry then properly, and just do a good cleaning on your bearings. You’ll be fine playing it dry without lube if you clean it well.

Lube is pretty much counter-intuitive for yoyo bearings. Most people think lubing bearings makes them spin longer, but this is false. Lube only protects bearings from overheating and corrosion. Yoyo bearings really won’t generate all that much heat, so lube is really only for corrosion protection. Any lube, no matter how thin, will actually reduce sleep times for yoyos. If your bearing isn’t spinning well, it needs to be cleaned, not lubed.

At most, yoyo bearings require a sewing needle sized drop of lube to prevent corrosion. Even that much is enough to reduce spin times and introduce some responsiveness.

if to be purchasable on here,Caeser is at the top for moment, but in general,i found a AL7 abatross on ebay, that sweet ghosted one that Engand1414 did awhile back, but its gone now! >:( :‘( :-\ >:( :’( :'(…
thats probably my top priority for 2015 in obtaining throws. and AL7 Tross and an Al7 Triton

Just got me a gradient I’ll see if I want any others and then probably buy them since I havent purchased many throws recently so I may buy a couple more, but not sure which ones yet.

I got myself a Gradient too and my brother picked out another one that’s a surprise. Can’t wait

How are you finding the gradient? deciding whether or not to get one
