What’s your funnest casual throw?

At this point the Panorama has been mentioned so many times I feel like I should listen to the people.

Or, you could try something completely different, which is fun sometimes. I went for a long time favoring smaller throws and I got a Horizon and it was tons of fun to have the extra weight and unstoppable flywheel feeling.

General Yo Ministar 2 for that pocket yoyo goodness. You can’t get a better pocket yoyo than it.

I find trying different tricks to do more for my mindset when I’m in a rut than just a different yoyo. If you’re mostly focused on learning, try making some tricks instead of learning with tutorials/videos, or vice versa. Or try a different style of tricks. If you’re mostly throwing rail combos, try some tech. If you’re mostly working on stuff based around a single mount, just pick a random different mount to build off of.

Casual yoyos are definitely fun, I love the FH1, but in my experience yoyos like that are most enjoyable when I’m already in a good groove with yoyoing. If I’m not already in a good groove with yoyo they’ll only be fun for a bit, and the source of the rut is still there. So once the new throw excitement wears off I’ll be back to feeling unmotivated/dissatisfied with my yoyoing.

Never heard of that yoyo before. Looks fun and pocketable.

Go get yourself one! Truly the best pocket yoyo out there, I haven’t tried any pocket yoyo that beats it in terms of performance and fun-factor, and I have tried a lot of pocket yoyos.

This is great advice and definitely made it through to me. Maybe it’s the strong cup of coffee I just chugged, but what you just said made complete sense and I believe you are correct. The urge to buy more yo-yos is strong, but maybe I need to just zen out with one I already own and find a new groove. Sometimes when you’ve been pounding at a specific trick for too long it becomes more tedious than anything.

Fulvia!

@Jace Been wondering about this one. How does it play compared to say a Skyva or Replay Pro?

It’s miles more balanced than the SKYVA for me, and I never enjoyed the Replay Pro; it slaughters both IMHO.

I think the little league looks like a fun little yoyo. Been thinking about it. I need to find out what all this hype is about the panorama someday.

Mowl Hybrid. Fun colours, slightly oversized, and buttery performance.

Oh man, I feel like I never see Mowl’s getting recommended on here.

I have a Vigilancia, which is fun. But H-shapes are the outlier shape for me, so anytime I pick one up it is a change of pace.

Mowl does get recommended a lot here. You’re probably just not looking in the right places. If you’re talking about this thread, then it’s mostly because Mowl yoyos tend to be competition focused and aren’t really casual yoyos. They’re pretty serious performers and aren’t very chill. Mowl’s best yoyos tend to be competition level bimetals, so if you’re into organics then you wouldn’t be seeing much of them.

That said, they do have some good organics that you should definitely check out, like the Mowl Q.

Yeah, you’re probably right. I never see Mowl get mentioned and always wondered why, but I’m probably just not reading the right threads since I never really read the more competition oriented subjects. I’m glad to hear it though because I really love their videos. Some of my favorite. The Obsession video with CHIP and the Vigilancia video with Daiki are so awesome.

Ah I see. Yeah their videos are some of the best out there, really cool and innovative. I don’t think any company has videos that are even on the same level as theirs.
