Just got my Panorama delivered. Time to see if it’s the casual fun throw I’ve been searching for!
Will do!
Lately for me OD sugar glider has been pretty chill
after a nice weekend with the panorama, whats your update?
Gotta give this one to my YYF G.5
@yyfben2.deactivated can we please have a stainless steel version just like this? It would be perfect and ill take 6 just like i did the OG 888s
I played with it a bunch throughout the weekend. It’s hard to put into words exactly how it feels different, but it certainly feel different than my other yo-yos. Before the Panorama I was primarily throwing a YoyoFriends Peregrine and an iCEBERG. And for the few days before receiving the Panorama I was using a Mowl Obsession+ extensively.
Tricks are definitely harder to achieve on the Panorama compared to those throws. Specifically ones that require a bunch of string in the groove (skin the gerbil for example). Also, I’m no expert over here, probably beginner/intermediate sorta skill zone, so I’m sure a lot of this comes down to needing more practice. That being said, I feel like the Panorama is making me a better yoyo player. If I can learn something on the Panorama, I sure as hell can do it on my Peregrine.
And even though the Panorama may be more difficult to learn tricks on, it’s not lame to play with. Actually, the complete opposite, I enjoy throwing it. It definitely has the casual throw feel to it. For me personally, at the skill level I’m currently at, I may try swapping out the flat bearing for a concave and see if that helps with things like double trapeze tricks.
All in all, I can definitely see keeping this in my collection. It’s different from anything else in my collection, and most importantly it’s fun.
Got home from work and threw some flat caps and a thick cotton string on it, and I like it so much more now.
Flat caps and fat string is definitely the way to go with the Panorama.
My “funnest” yoyo is the FH1. I wish they were a bit cheaper purely because I think it is by far the best beginner yoyo, and I’d love to keep a bunch on hand to give out to people who show an interest. $25 is a very fair price for a yoyo this good, I just can’t afford to give them away too often. Butterflies will have to do the job for the time being. Maybe when I transition out of social work it’ll be more affordable, lol.
I just recently started using and collecting plastic yoyos and i got to say my favorite plastic yoyo currently is the Topyo Mojo. The second funnest is the OD Rally. The third yoyo is the speedaholic xx. The mojo is a beast and it’s cheaper than the other yoyos i’ve mentioned.
