Accomplishments from this year (after my serious return to the hobby in the beginning of October):
- Competed in the Ante Yoyo Online Competition in sport and got 22nd of 43(?) in my first competition in 10 years!
- Started posting yoyo videos on Instagram and made 28 videos in the past 2 months!
- Bought 6 yoyos in 2 months after not getting a new yoyo in about 8 years (not sure if this is an accomplishment or going overboard haha) and sold 2.
- Worked to get the DFW yoyo club Lone Star Spinners started again!
- Learned a ton of new tricks and finally got past the plateau I’ve been on for years that was a big reason why I stopped taking the hobby as seriously
- Performed at a work talent show for Diwali
- Did a group yoyo lesson with some of the 5th graders and their teachers at my church
- Not bad for around 2 months!
Goals for next year:
- Attend and compete at the Gulf Coast Regional
- Attend and attempt to compete at world’s, even if it’s just wild card or sports freestyle
- Learn intermediate to advanced 4A tricks and come up with respectable combos
4A has been so much fun and I want this to be a main focus of my yoyoing next year - Do 5A May and learn more than just the basics
- Spend more of my yoyo time actually throwing and learning tricks instead of just researching yoyos or reading yoyo stuff online
- Keep making videos during the week to document my progress and push myself to learn new tricks. This has been so crucial for my growth this year and I want to keep it going next year too!
Is this a lot to do? Probably but I’m motivated and having fun so I’m going to ride the wave as much as I can!

I am pretty proud (also a bit sad 
) that I really just bought one yoyo this year. And that last week for my Bday in Jan. 2024. It is not that I stopped loving yo-yos or I am out of money. It is really the pure volume my collection takes that I a do not wanna grow. I could sell yo-yos but they are all as good as any other I could buy . Anyway lol happy transitioning to 2024 and keep throwing

My goals were to spend less and learn more and I deff picked up more elements and tricks then yoyos. I’ll keep that as a goal for 2024. Looking forward to getting more proficient with fixed, 2A and 5A.
I also managed to get a YoYo club to start locally, which had been a goal for a while so I’m very excited. Some of my kids friends are interested in yoyoing and learning tricks (DNA mostly!), I’m optimistic that i can keep it running for a bit.

Happy almost New Year everyone! My New years Yoyo resolutions is too be able to do all five styles of Yoyoing before 2025. I can do 1A so i only have to learn four other styles of Yoyo.

My new years goal is to get more people around me into YoYo and coming to club. I feel like there is interest it just needs a nudge and there are plenty of ways to light that fire.
I guess learn a few more tricks. And maybe get better at unresponsive play as I’ve stuck to my comfort zone this year in responsive play and that’s great but not what most folks are into.

I want to improve my 1A as always, I wanna get comfortable with horizontal play. Tried a little today and nearly landed a horizontal double or nothing + bind. Feels cool. Hoping to have DNA sometime this year. Haven’t had any strangers come up and ask for it but I kinda wanna have that in my back pocket so to say.

I couple but I was travelling a lot this year and spend most of my hobby time scuba diving. But I am back home now and looking forward to get some new designs out.

My main goal = Yoyo Everyday. While it was a goal last year, I missed a day once a bunch of times.
Yoyo Acquisition Disorder was in full effect in 2023. So 2024 I am hoping for more restraint. It is really difficult knowing some of the things in the works.
