Found my old iPod loaded up with tracks from middle and high school! This is one of the first metalcore albums I really vibed with as a kid.
That song i dropped a while ago, i now put out the music video for if your interested, i threw my yoyo a bit lol.
Listening to a trio of albums that all feature artwork from Michael Whelan’s “Lovecraft’s Dream / Lovecraft’s Nightmare” painting that was used for a series of H.P. Lovecraft’s book covers. Multiple bands used snippets of the whole painting for their album art. So I decided to listen to them frome left to right based off of the full painting and the albums in which they appear just for fun..
The whole painting:
Obituary: Cause of death album
The Mist - Phantasmagoria
Demolition Hammer - Epidemic of Violence
And a bonus because Meatloaf used it on a single too.
I had an annoying roommate in college and every Tuesday when he went out to some club me and my other roomie would spin this record and designate the evening the “Sacred Night Of Silence”
America Greatest Hits.
ETA: Don’t worry I’m not actually doing and DNA’s with this…
A day late and a dollar short, but…
I have the whole album. Bought it when it was released. A classic. Loved it then and now…
Love some Frontierer, like Car Bomb turned up to 11.
This is some interesting music, it’s difficult to describe; my brother showed this band to me a few years ago, I’ve been listening to them every now and then since.
Those are my current favorites from them, though this changes often.
Creepy stuff I recently discovered:
I just finished book 14 back in February!
Oh man, I was WAYYY into MeWithoutYou before Its all Crazy; my favorite album is Catch for Us the Foxes, no skips. Brother, Sister is also a great album. IACIAFIAaDIA (geez guys…) didn’t quite hit for me as it was a pretty big overall departure from their sound, and a move into some of the softer/ folky parts of Brother, Sister.
The girl I was spending most of my time with back then loved it tho, especially since she had a brand new niece lol.
Huh, it really is different strokes for different folks, I guess—I definitely prefer their newer style, though I enjoy their older stuff as well.
