The Meat Puppets. Specifically, their album “II”.
So Jackie Chan by tiesto came on pandora today at work and I never realized there was a yo-yo reference in the song haha
Lately I’ve been listening to the band Phish, Down with Disease and Sample in a Jar are particular favorites.
That’s a good one. I owned it in the 80’s. Back then I always wanted their first album after hearing their demented songs on the first SST sampler, The Blasting Concept.
We’re all gonna make it brah
Been listening to this on repeat for the past week. It friggin rips. So many cool riffs Love it. If you’re into doom / stoner rocks it’s a must listen.
Band: Gnome | Album: King
Got to play with Anthony Wilson a week ago for one of his album release shows! I’ve been listening to his Plan Of Paris album non-stop since, a great blend of a bit of his jazz background and his more recent folk projects.

Very nice! One of the best prog rock albums of all time!
GWAR : The new dark ages.
Just came out today digitally. Waiting on the physical to get here in July.
Saw GWAR live back in '13 or '14. Absolutely wild show. We drove 300 miles to see them.
Iron Reagan and Band of Orcs opened for a screaming crowd of 150. Some gal climbed a barrier and before security could get to her, swan dived into the crowd (who forgot to catch her ) That was right as GWAR was decapitating a life sized Justin Bieber on stage…
Oh the odd things we attend when we’re in our 20’s.
@cowmamba I can still feel that double base peddle in my head to this day…
Currently listening to TLOP.
That’s awesome! Most of the shows go that way hahaha! Iron Reagan / Municipal Waste are also a hoot when they are touring with them. The last show I went to before Oderus passed, Municipal Waste came out with beer bongs and were smashing brewskis with all of us in the front row hahaha! It was crazy!
One year (2007 I think) Horse The Band was with them too and man, that was quite the show too! The energy was just insane all night!
GWAR always puts on an amazing show and the crowd is just as crazy. I love it!
It’s my birthday today. Odd how birthdays change as you get older. It was a celebration initially, but it has incrementally evolved into distracting myself from the fact that I am a year closer to expiring, and the idea that I have wasted the better part of a year that could have been more fulfilling, in some known or unknown way.
I’m drinking and listening to The Soft Bulletin, which can be rather existential. My apologies for the remarks on birthdays. Great album, you should give it a listen.
