With all of the talk about the passing of Tom Smothers. Some images and videos have come up taken through out Tom Smothers life. This image has really challenge and changed my perception.

I have gained a lot of respect for both men iseeing Morrison hanging with such a cool dude and for Tommy seeing past the grade A,
A-hole persona and hanging with Morrison anyway.

Iâm old enough to remember when the Smothers Brothers started in Show Business.
Great guysâŚ. Things didnât always go smooth with Tommy and âManagementâ. Tommy refused to believe the people paying him had his best interests at heart.
Tommy helped change peoplesâ attitudes regarding censorship, etc.
He was much more dominant than the soft spoken character he often portrayed.
I think one of the highest compliments that can be given to a person is that the person is recognized as a Distinct Individual and thatâs what Tommy was.
As most of us would agree, we honestly have no idea where people are or Where people go when they leave this place. But Iâm sure we would also agree that wherever he is if there is a place to be, if there are other people around, they will certainly be laughing and fully entertained and glad to have Tommy. RIPâŚ. A world class ambassador for yo-yos.

Tommy made throwing yo-yos look fun, and Dennis McBride made understanding the tricks possible. This year we lost the two people that were the main reasons I became interested in yo-yos.
