In this thread I’m going to write yoyo raps every once in a while. I’ve written two already, and Hendy said he even wanted to rap them on a beat and record.
Third verse to “Hold Your Throws Up!” by TotalArtist.
Copyright, 2012
I might compete someday, hope to get the top 5,
I’ll throw a sweet suicide, maybe mach 5,
Nothing like doing some great tricks,
Throw a plastic whip quick, even the Matrix,
Just like my skills when I rhyme over rap beats,
Around the world two times into my trapeze,
Eli Hops boing e boing gotta love it,
Do ripcord maybe a drop in the bucket,
bind, rewind, throw that trapeze from behind,
In time, on a dime, top it off with a grind,
Beginners, keep practicing whether hit or miss,
Jamaican Flag and Ifle Tower picture tricks,
These knockoff sellers no time for haters,
Shout out to Ooch, shout out to Yomega,
I got throws signed by Boulay, Koloski, Dietz,
It was nice to meet…all of the local peeps.
Chorus:
I love yo-yos and I’m a grown up,
Yeah…so what, Hold Your Throws Up!!
Whole song here…Not the best sound…but it’s on Youtube:
Can’t wait to see more of your lyrics. I have a ton…
Right back at you SHY. I’m so happy there is a thread for people who like poetry to music.
Thanks Dingo. I have not put it on Itunes. I ran a whole contest using that song last year. I made people answer how many tricks and yo-yo companies I called out in the song and stuff. But, it’s an old song. Perhaps I should put it on Itunes. I can always email it to you. ;) As you can see, I reference Andre, or YYE in all my yo-yo songs.
A few lines from The Leather Holder Song by TotalArtist, copyright 2012.
This holder is the best, so you know you gotta have it,
with some help from the man who made the Dark Magic,
You’ve seen it before, now it turned into my best work,
it’s not in other stores, just on Yoyoexpert.
I had a throw…played it, needed a holder, I’m creative,
so I waited, then debated, bought some leather then I made it,
It took some planning, then even a little hammering,
Now there in demand and even the pros are wearing it,
The smart ones paid, cause I got holders for days,
black, brown, red, some are two toned or beige,
It looks hot it’s, thick leather…metal, it locks it’s,
4 good reasons to come out of your pockets…
Deal! Or, we can write one together here, and I’ll record it and we’ll post it in the thread when it’s finished. First, we need a topic. I’ve already written songs about being old and loving yo-yos, a yo-yo holder, my yo-yo case, Yomega, and mgiroux77 even So, I’ll let you choose a yo-yo related topic, and we’ll start from there. I will take your topic and lyrics and mold them into a freestyle length song.
So, what topic do you choose? Also, give me like the first two lines and we’ll go from there.
Chorus:
Yoyo’s and swag, yoyo’s and swag
I got yoyo’s and swag in my yoyo bag
Verse:
Leather holster, rhymes colder than aluminum my style is super dumb
I stay frosted, lost in a sea of strings and ano, who care’s about hater scum
get out of the slum of thrower’s block, get locked and loaded, scolded by those who don’t understand the yoyo purpose, haters get folded
thrown into the trash, hit them with a whiplash, because I whip fast, get with my style that kicks a**
put haters on blast, rap faster than the rpm out of a spinning ceramic
all these little kids think they good, but they don’t know a single trick
I eat a general yo for breakfast, and a CLYW for dinner
when it comes to competitions, I’m the only winner
Throw down so hard people think I’m a sinner, because it takes a contract with the devil to get tricks this killer Yoyoexpert.com is the forum i visit, better recognize
All these tricks are just too complicated for your eyes
why do you even try, i’m the speed king and all you do is lie
Will add more, some syllables are off, but I’m still fine tuning my abilities.
I love those lyrics! You gave me a whole verse in no time. I’m working on verse 2 of this song now…my next post will be the second verse. Then, I’ll record it and post it up soon.
awesome dude! I think LinksLegionaire or whatever made a pretty good chorus.
And thanks for smoothing out the lyrics I wrote, I’m getting a bit better I think!
