The 0A Thread (Fixed Axle & Modern Responsive)

Ok going to practice this!

Wow! Richie really hit it on the head. Literally, took all the words out of my mouth :joy: thanks for taking the time, brother! Saved me a lot of typing

I can hit some really, REALLY hard (for me) tricks, but on the particularly difficult ones, sometimes, I’ll do HUNDREDS of attempts.

If you want to watch some real pros at the style, @chrisnotes86, I recommend @edhaponik @Ardeus @Jerrod and Kyle Nations (not sure he is on the forums). They all have instagram accounts where they post incredible tricks.

No, thank you Seth.

Videos like this helped me a lot.

Other person, he has some other great beginner tutorials, lots with slowmo and from different angles, check his channel

I would also suggest checking out Bandalores on Instagram. That was one of my first introductions to 0A, and it’s just 0A tutorials, mostly by Ed, but also some from Kyle, Doc Pop, and I think one or two from Drew.

Thanks to those who have responded!

I’ve been throwing pretty consistently since ‘97-‘98.

If you were to see me play 0A you’d think I was a complete newbie lol!

I have watched Ed H. over the years and have been amazed to see his growth. i’m also familiar with others mentioned above and will dig in some more!

The No-Jive is TOOOOOOUUUUUGH! Very challenging! I found a bit of chapstick on end of string helped some!

This style feels reminiscent to kendama or the pill for me.

I will update shortly with progress!

Working on some new 0A combos, and looking for smooth ways to exit a DON stall. What’s everyone’s favorite way to transition out of DON?

Thanks. Landed it on the second try! And then failed to land it about a dozen times in a row before finally landing it again

I like that, gonna need to practice it to get it down.

@MinerJ Here’s a couple options I like. The first part of Bouncehouse @ 1:57, or Drew’s Mystic trick at @ 2:22, both in the first video. @ 0:08 in the second video is another look at that Mystic trick.
