This is a late BC-era no jive. You can tell with the shape and how flat the outer wall is. These were made in the 2010’s. Like the mandalas and Ed Haponik Play Simply’s. Nice find!

Would there be any interest if i were to sell just a few of my plum wood yos? My lathe work isnt as clean as others as im still learning, tho I wouldnt sell a yo that I dont think would play well or last. will upload some pics if intrested

I forgot to mention that I live in New Zealand and shipping to US could be a bit longer than usual, probably similar to AUS to US rates.

These were the first run i did for some mates

here some of the next run that needs a finish on them, ive got the axles down more consistent and accurate compared to the last ones thanks to a new tool.

@AudreySickburn @Captrogers Awesome thanks, il msg you guys when they are ready.

sadly the pink color will darken over time to a darker deep purple / brown. Im starting to use a more UV resistant finish to help it last longer but that also dulls the color a little. il probably do finish or no finish at request

Yup it was the plum tree in the back yard as a kid, we had to chop it down 4-5 years ago to get the driveway done. thx mum for saving it :joy:

And how does the knockoff play?
as compared tot he original?

The original is a hair easier to land stalls in, but has more vibe due to the variances in the wood.
