Ok. Boring boring. But…. All of my tips are completely destroyed and trying to get a top to spin in my hand is nearly impossible. So here’s my submission for the Spintastics / ITSA freestyle patch. Just posting here to share. It’s on the other forum also.
Shot down. Although it met the trick criteria, it wasn’t long enough. I knew it needed to be a minute. I was just happy to land that combo and uploaded it right from the park lol. I got a couple more elements to throw in there to make it a little longer and not too boring
I don’t know what the first part of this combo is called, so I reached out on TikTok for the name, but it is more of a pop to lasso than what I’m doing. Anyway…. Learning how to link regen tricks together still.
I have a rep at work for throwing yoyos and playing with other toys. So one of the aids here who has some basic skills with tops back when he was young brought in this guy (he has a few from what i understand) as a gift for me. Guess it’s time to learn something new!
Took the Cobras out for a little free range time today, hope you have had time to throw your new top Mike. There is a new cool trick on the Chido Trompos instagram that I am trying to learn. It’s harder than it looks, guess that’s why he is a spin top demonstrator
What do you usually throw? I can use the Same string for the Short Circuit and the Jumbo Cobra, to may need to tilt the Cobra forward a bit as it could be an inch or so short, but it’s close. Sometimes the string is not a good match, if you have some string you like, try that.
I haven’t been absent from spinning or yo-yo throwing, just absent from forums and stuff! I’ve been learning Spanish so that’s taken over my “internet on the phone time”. So, enjoy some half @$$ed drum rolls.
So maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks, but it sure takes a long time. I finally broke the century mark with regens, 111 sewing machines with the Sara. Lately I have been throwing small tops like the Cobras, and I think it helps improve accuracy.
