As the title says. I’m kinda stuck between the 3 and just want to hear some opinions.
What other yoyos do you have or like to throw right now? Favorite shape, etc? What tricks are you working on?
SK is my favorite of those 3. I’m a OneDrop fiend though.
Oh man, I’ve been meaning to snag a Ritter but it’s always been eclipsed by other releases. How do you like it?
Between the Puff Adder and the SK I’d personally reach for my SK. They’re both great but I like the weight of the SK on the string. Haven’t tried the Cadence. Are you asking about the OG or the ES?
Why is that?
I love the Ritter! Nice and wide and really great for fingerspins! Everyone seems to like the es more so I’ll say that one.
So I always use my iyoyo Ritter and duncan windrunner for metal and I’m really liking the freehand nextgen for my plastic. I kind of like the feel of the skyva also. I’m trying to learn some slack tricks at the moment. As for shape I’m not to sure that I have a favorite
Cadence is just a bit wide and plain feeling too me (TiCadence is amazing though btw), Puffer Adder felt a bit too heavy for my tastes and I’ve come to learn that the “bell” shape isn’t my favorite.
Thank you this helps a lot
Happy to help! SK is an all around great throw. Not to heavy not too light. Not to narrow not to wide. Nice blast. Great at grinds and finger spins. Prolly the cheapest on the bst as well! I see em for 25$-30$ fairly regular.
Have you played the Cadence ES? I know SF tried to minimize the idea of the throws feeling different, but the difference is significant enough as not to group them imo. The OG feels lighter (and is), and lacks the stability and spin time of the ES. Overall the ES is a much more complete package, and a definite upgrade.
The only one of these I’ve thrown is the Puff Adder, but it’s a great monometal for the price. I have a B grade one and it’s the yoyo I usually grab to take with me when I leave the house.
Id be interested in anyone who can compare the Puff Adder to the Cadence ES. The Puff Adder is like a smaller Cadence with more of a bell shape and same weight, but similar enough looking to compare I think. Based on specs id probably prefer the Puff Adder.
You found all three for sale?
I haven’t tried the ES. Stability and spin time are definitely not issues I had a problem with regarding the OG Cadence though and if it feels heavier then I pretty much guarantee im not gonna love the ES. I dunno… it just feels generic to me somehow. It could also be that it’s got the borderline “bell” shape and feel in play that just doesn’t do it for me. I just finished selling all the YoYos in my collection that have the feel of a “bell” shape and high width/diameter ratio eg. bliss, puffadder, knight, ND, etc… Somehow none this applies to the TiCadence though! That thing is magical!
Yes I did
What are your favorite yo-yos in your collection?
100000% agree about bell shape.
I totally think it’s a fad. And yeah I know a lot of stuff in yoyos is a fad but I think competition players are going to move away from this one fairly quick
Ritter, windrunner and freehand nextgen
Then I definitely think you should go with the SK
