New Hobbies or Pets Since COVID-19?

Music Battle station is coming along nicely. Thank you Covid for giving me the time and money to do something massive like this. Looks unassuming but each of these three pieces are absolute monsters. This is an endless hole of sonic exploration and creative freedom.

Top left, the brand new KORG Wavestate. Top Right is the Boss RC-505 looping station, and bottom is Access Virus Ti2 Keys.

Also Final Fantasy 7 remake is heavenly!!

Continuing on my pizza journey. Made the dough two days ago, then started some BBQ pork yesterday morning in the slow cooker, because my wife had a hankering for BBQ pizza.
So, we have slow cooked BBQ pork and some leftover onions and peppers from the fajitas i made the night before, and Myoko’s mozzarella (dairy free)

I got inspired to find my slingshots from the posts here. I was surprised that the rubber was still fine after so many years unused.

I had fun shooting them with my boys. We even had a target that bled! A spoiled box of tomato soup.

Also, my 9yo and I folded this box:

I’ll grow some chilis this season. But I won’t bother growing them from seeds. Too much hassle when I can buy small but strong plants for 3€.

Scotch Bonnet

I seem to have stumbled headlong into the world of custom mechanical keyboards. Good grief.

The garden is looking promising this year, and I think we’re getting chickens for the back yard soon…

Are you planning on getting chickens for the eggs?

Two years ago I grew a bunch of Jalapeno, Ghost Pepper, and Carolina Reaper peppers and it resulted in more peppers than I could deal with. I ground most of it and am still using them to this day. It was definitely worth it in the long run, but there was quite a bit of work and fumes to deal with when processing it.

Not really a new hobby but I became really active on Mike Monty’s discord server.

It’s a chilled place to chat about yoyos and anything else really with people who love yoyos 24/7. Also Mike is usually online himself so it’s nice to have such a seasoned and skilled guy around to help you when you are stuck with something. I’m a Mod on the server if anyone is interested in complimenting their YYE forums with a live chat on the side

sounds great! i’d make hot sauce with them if i grew them.

I made hot sauce out of some of them, but I found it easier just to dry most of it out and grind it into powder. I just wasn’t prepared for the amount I got and didn’t have the time to make such big batches of sauce, especially cause the first batch I made almost killed me.
