My Issue With G2

I like how you’ve provided a solution like 5 times and it’s not been taken up from what I can see.

This whole post is what’s wrong with society

That people could talk like adults, and come up with a solution that worked for everyone in a quick manner? Yeah, it doesn’t sound very good to have a society like that.

I think what @yoyo7 is saying is wrong with society is that disputes are being settled by putting people and businesses on blast in public by making posts like this instead of handling it in private. Frustration leads to more frustration, slander, hurt feelings, witch hunts, etc, etc…

At any rate, I just really like yoyos.

The original post said he had been trying to contact Jake for a month without response. I too had communication issues with G2 that cost me a free yoyo so I chimed in. My favorite part of this thread was G2 Jake referring to his communication issues as people trying to “drag him down”. Thats funny no matter who you are.

I’ve had similar issues in the past with other companies and I didn’t post screenshots of our private conversations online or try to rile people up against them. Eventually, they contacted me back and we worked it out. I just don’t give them my business anymore. End of story.

You didnt miss out on a free yoyo because of his communication issues. Your earlier post says you lost the yoyo because you didn’t use the required platform for the giveaway and then threw away the ticket.

I’m currently doing a give away with a very simple requirement, one person made a comment saying they wanted the yoyo, they’re not getting an entry because they didn’t follow the simple requirement.

He contracted me on a platform I told him I’m not checking messages.

He ordered the yo-yo through an email, where he contacted me later with quick replies and a simple solution.

My original reply could have been better. To me he was backing out on his word. Via email since he described why he wanted a refund. He’s squared away.

He should have updated this post, but he got what he wanted.

Is this where I plug my discord where I hang out with the yo-yo homies?

Yes, it is.

This place features the best humans in yo-yo. If you’re a jack rabbit don’t join. If you’re looking to chat about non yo-yo things with other yo-yo players this is the spot.

Admission is free and non refundable.

Thank you so much for explaining what happened to me. Had I known you fully understood everything that happened I would have contacted you directly. I thought I got screwed because he only announced it on Instagram Story instead of using methods he had previously been using. He even said so at the beginning of the drawing. But obviously you knew all that.

From now on I’ll check with you and get all the facts before I post.
Thanks again,
Tommy

I’ll admit the story announcement isnt ideal, especially if he didnt post it anywhere else. But dude, you still threw away the ticket lol

Jakes lap dog. I like it. Obviously I should have held on to the ticket for months until Jake finally contacts me back. The dude has a communication problem. Two different people who don’t know each other have the same experience. Instead of questioning peoples integrity and screwing people over he could pick a method of communication and monitor it. But as long as his minions do his bidding what the heck?

Not about what happened, but might be worth tossing up an auto responder on Facebook / Instagram that says to email instead or something similar.

Nice starting to throw out personal comments lol.

Two people who don’t know each other had an issue that could have been solved with their own communication. Connor should have emailed him, he had a real issue, not messaged a business owners personal Facebook. Jake offered a solution in his FIRST response and explained he does’nt check messages there. He also has picked and monitors a method, its his business’ email address linked above.

If what you said is true, Jake mentioned the giveaway in question would be different than usual and then you got mad when it was different than usual.

Im not defending Jake as much as calling out these silly actions. Forum posts or personal messages are not the way to handle issues with a business.

Nice integrity check. At least we arent going personal.

If a business chooses to use social media as a primary means of communication then responding on social media is correct.

Jakes response to Connor may have been correct but it came a month too late.

I’m willing to bet there are way more people that have had good communication with Jake than those that haven’t. Jake is a good dude, and is a big reason some of us stay with yoyo. People make mistakes. Don’t assume to know what other people are going through.

i’m sorry if that felt personal, that wasn’t my intention. your story about the giveaway changed a few times, so I’m just making sure that my understanding is correct.

Wow!! You are committed. Please enlighten me as to where my story changed. Obviously you know more about this than anybody. Be nice and maybe you’ll get a belly rub.

@jhb8426 where are you?
