I’m out I had around 35 or 40 bucks worth to trade but nothing more sorry guys I just don’t have anything worth $60 that’s leaving my collection on a blind trade I love all my throws but the one that I was going to part with is brand new and I have a few because I enjoy them immensely. But I just feel ok with sending out a brand new in box yoyo and getting something beat or “loved” in return. $30 was an ideal number for my first mystery trade.

What was the brand new throw?

This is smart in my opinion. Changing the trade value when the horse is almost across the river is probably a bad idea.

I’m in the same boat as Snafu. I have a throw that was used twice, for no more than a total of 10 minutes. Still has box and original string never used. Didn’t retail for over $60, so I’m out.

Okay, my opinion is that if it’s something new or of close value (Shutter, Minute, Rally, Strix, etc) then it should be allowed, but if it’s like a Token (what Snafu had) then that doesn’t make the cut in my opinion.

You could just do a $45 limit or send one of those along with some kind of cheap plastic

I got burned horribly a beat maverick and a myy n9 that doesnt have an axle. The n9 was scavenged for the bearing and the o rings and just sits in a box. And the maverick isnt played at all besides being used for environmental throwing.

Yeah, everyone is forgetting that you don’t have to send JUST one thing. Throw in a plastic, string, accessories, a kendama, whatever.

I think it’s up to the OP. I believe $30 is a bit low, but I’d probably still do it If that was the minimum. What I give is gonna be worth more then that, I just don’t wanna be burned.

I don’t think you put enough faith in this system. The throws should all be in good condition, and if they’re not and you get shafted they get a bad rep AND usually someone is generous enough to send yo another gift.

Maybe but that doesn’t change I’m not comfortable over the $30 mark.

I honestly didn’t think about doing more than one throw. I can do $60 that way I guess.

If you sent out a yo-yo that you valued at $60.00 and received three or four yo-yos that retailed at $10 to $15 you’d be okay with that?

This is the problem with these exchanges in my opinion.

Lets just wait til Christmas maybe? Joey (yomagic) has run a great exchange in the past.

If you really wanted to do it that way I’d be up for pairing people so there’s no bias
I could just get a list of the throws and addys attatched to those throws and try to pair up accordingly but I think that’d take away from some of hte mystery and fun. It also holds people to sending those specific throws in case they fealt like changing it up at the last second

True. However, it would also help prevent people from being unhappy with stuff and feeling like they got shafted. It I had enough feedback to do this, getting something of the same value that I sent would be ideal for me.

The rules are on the first page. If you want to know the rules, you should most likely read them. I have quoted a part of the rules that answers your question.

After the spots are filled I will put everyones username in the hat and will take out one name (the person who ships) to the second person drawn. Once you are both trading and traded too then your name will be taken out of the drawing. Message me if you would like to join.
