We’re getting weird with fixie’s recently. Hard throws can cause friction and wiser folks with a lot more internet points than me have advised against poly for fixie’s due to melting at the axle. Maybe I’m dumb as heck though. Wouldn’t be the first time.

Are Amy and Rebby poly or nylon? If they’re poly they’re good. I play with both poly and cotton on fixies and I can tell you the melting thing is a myth. It might be true for nylon but i refuse to put a nylon string on a fixie. The mere idea of that makes me nauseous.
