Well, this was an entertaining and educational (at times) read, thanks everyone.
Thank you for what you do @da5id and @Mazdarx7FD ( everyone at fpm) , and every other company that manufactures, designs, etc. yoyo’s who allow us all to come together and be so passionate about a topic within this hobby that it reaches 400+ posts in a day (completely thought this post was made earlier today. Whoops.)

I dont understand your comment about FPM and I’d agree that the width topic diverged. It was really more about modern competition yoyos imo.

This is not really true. They make more yoyos than a good percentage of yoyo companies.

I hope you ding your yoyo tomorrow

Why do you think the bearing seat is so loose?

This is an unfair comparison because it features bimetals :cowboy_hat_face:

Just wondering if anyone knows if Foxland precision still makes yoyos. They weren’t mentioned, but I presume its probably because they don’t make yoyos anymore?

Wasn’t that a retired guy in his garage doing it? I think his machine broke and didn’t wanna fork out for a new one so stopped. I heard that through the grapevine though, so it could be wrong.

I got upset by David making out like OD is the only company that does loose bearing seats. They definitely aren’t as Philip proved. It rubbed me the wrong way so when he was also making other quality claims, I got more upset. It’s not that they don’t do those things, I’m sure they do, it’s that it somehow sets them apart but a lot of companies are doing those things.

That said I reacted poorly and got a bit too mean. Sorry @da5id

I don’t think anyone called out FPM. There definitely are other manufactures that use tight tolerances and those yoyos definitely do not hold up after taking the bearing out a few times. I’ve experienced it first hand and have read about others who have to.
